Yeah, but I don't like cigarettes, so I don't smoke them.

What a fun thread! When I was living in Japan, Adam had showed me this forum a few times. He convinced me to sign up, so I eventually did. However, I never talked to people outside of the forums until sometime this year.

The army is developing regenerative medicine! New Army technology can save soldiers' lives

I never owned Ocarina of Time, because clearly I'm a terrible person.

Yay!

I don't smoke regularly, because it's an expensive habit, but I smoke if there's a good reason to. I'll definitely be enjoying some smooth cigars while I'm there.

Huh, I didn't read this until just now. I don't get it. You mean that you both had and didn't have a penis as long as you didn't confirm it?

Hooray for Lauren! Also, my parents mailed me my saxophone and it arrived today! I can jazz it up at my company's new year party now. It is currently sitting on my desk. It is quite sexy.

Wasn't there another news post somewhere here about bad names? Kids named Talula-does-the-hula-from-Hawaii or No. 17 Bus Station. I think it's in here somewhere but I can't be bothered to look.

Shouldn't Child Services be watching this guy? I mean, if he's shallow enough to not foresee the problems in naming his kids this, then he's probably doing some other stupid shit and not even realizing it.
-
I didn't know you could do that.

I wanted to talk about the effects of tariffs on free trade you on-topic bastard!

I think our public transit is a joke. We need to one up the world and have teleporters. Or those cool tubes like on Futurama.

Geometry and Economics??? This thread just got sexy.

Hehe, hell yeah. That first dodge is amazing. Bush has some mad skillz.

I spent a bit of time researching it a year or two ago for a project for school. There are enough studies on both sides of the fence regarding its efficiency to warrant more investigation. Although there has been a lot of work done in the field over the last several years, so it's hard to say if it's working right or not.…

Ooh, I haven't read about that. I'll have to look into it.

If you're talking about food, it's actually quite a shame. We should be able to create more than enough food to feed everyone adequately. The problem is that many poor farmers around the world don't have access to farm equipment or knowledge about farming techniques like crop rotation to increase yields. Many farms are…

And I'd personally rather not fly all the way to the US and have to tell my job that I am going to be late coming back because my friend drunkenly punched an annoying minor and we all got thrown in jail while they figure it out.
-
I'll call you later so you can get all three at once.
-
Or just mute your phone. Or tell your friends to leave you alone during class. Or turn it off. Or ignore them. These are all solutions to a problem that's really a non-issue.

I have read books online, and I won't dispute it. You're totally right. There's just something about holding a physical book in your hand that always trumps digitized books. It's why ebook readers have never caught on.

I have here quite possibly the most fucked up news to ever be posted. There is an acorn shortage. Squirrels are going hungry. Scientists baffled by mysterious acorn shortage

Huh. I thought I posted this at home, but I guess I forgot to actually hit the submit button... I don't like texting in English, because I find it too time consuming. Texting in Asian languages is so much easier and faster, so after getting used to that I can't stand pushing all the buttons necessary to create a thought in…

In Asian languages it is so much easier to text, because you could say so much more in so much less. For example, "meet at the train station" simply turns to "駅で会う" in Japanese, or "在火车站见面" in Chinese. Plus, the phone plans here are typically structured around frequent texting and infrequent phone calls. So, I don't like…

When I lived in the US I almost never texted. It took too much effort, and I could never let myself type in shorthand. I just found it easier to call people.
