  • Cyborg Anthropologist to Become Actual Cyborg with Brain Implant Connecting Thoughts to the Internet There's no article to speak of, so you'll just have to check out the video linked in my headline. But the gist of it is that one Amber Case, self-professed cyborg anthropologist, will be getting a brain implant in the near…
  • I am of the opinion that Jon's hobo beard grew inward and replaced his spine. Which is badass.
  • I suppose your extensive preparation for zombie apocalypse would have no relevance if SkyNet ended up being our downfall. Shotguns seem relatively ineffective against malicious computer programs.
  • Damn, guess Warner doesn't want it embedded. At least they're letting me keep the video so far. Class act, those Warner guys! Post updated to link to YouTube page.

  • https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6zlVx4fCYY Indie Draco When I first watched Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, I cracked up at all of Malfoy's scenes in the Room of Requirement. They were so visually distinct from the rest of the movie, and he had no spoken dialogue in any of them. It felt like a little indie film in…

  • Carlo and I are flying up to Seattle for the weekend! The main focus of our trip will be to attend w00tstock v2.0. Excitement and success! On that note: anyone have any recommendations for stuff to do in Seattle? I've gotten a few restaurant suggestions but was hoping my Belt peeps could give some insight as well.…

  • Jon's beards are friggin' prehensile. I can't compete against that.
  • Jon, only you could sustain frightening and serious injuries and turn it around into a story about how badass you are. Glad you're okay!
  • Beat it in six cursors! That was good fun. Bet I could improve my high score if I used a Wacom. ^__^
  • Quimby the Mouse A cool/sad animated short played at This American Life's live show last year. Also featured therein: Joss Whedon playing "Heart, Broken" from Commentary! The Musical: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vM3Hme36g0s

  • Well shit, guess I'm just a wuss then. :/ But still: tomorrow!
  • I wish I didn't have work early Saturday morning, or I'd join you. If you find your way to a computer though, definitely Saturday night!
  • Well I'm Xboxless. I've got Netflix and plenty of devices for streaming, but none with live chat features that I'm aware of. I still vote for Skype.
  • How many people have Xboxes 'round these parts?
  • Let me know when you've decided on a name so we can register the forum username for her before someone else snatches it up.
  • I'm cool with any ol' flick as long as I have time to procure it. Also: Riki-Oh.
  • Even more swish to be had with BetterTouchTool. This utility is basically the reason I bought a Magic Mouse.

  • I cast another vote for Magical May. Expelliarmus! ... I cast that on your other ideas. ...which you were holding in your hands.
  • I liked the episode, but it's just further cementing everything I don't like about the new Doctor. It's a bit weird when the companion is consistently more clever than the 900+ year old Time Lord. River Song is a cool storyline. I love the idea of a nonlinear relationship (explored at great length with the trolls in…

  • That's appreciated! But I'm sure nobody wants to be spending all this time pruning and banning. UPDATE: I've turned on a feature to email me whenever people register, seems to have helped in cutting off a few spambots at the pass. But more drastic measures are likely forthcoming.
  • I'm sorry I didn't catch this sooner! I think I've cleared out the culprits for now, but it might be time to consider more drastic measures restricting newcomers.
  • The season premiere/Doctor introduction was probably the best of the entire new series. The episode was constructed well with good pacing, and I liked Amelia Pond's performance. She's definitely got a little of Donna Noble's sass and refusal to put up with the absurd; this will likely help her a lot in the adventures to…

  • Seriously, you gotta woo him first.
  • He wasn't as entertaining as we might have preferred.
  • Or use ClickToFlash to force it to load the H.264 videos. If I'm not playing Captain Forever, I feel no need to use Flash for most occasions.
  • Glad it went well! What games did you showcase?
  • Can't believe I didn't mention this sooner! 8-Bit Dr. Horrible project! Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Game He's finished up to act 2, and has the soundtrack available for download. It includes previously unseen things from the original musical (such as Hammer throwing a car at Billy), and all the important bits. Including this…
