It's almost that time... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6i0E4BMmr4 EXCITEMENT

While I loved District 9, it probably didn't stand a chance for Best Picture. But I'm still mad that Children of Men didn't win that award.

It was nice knowing you!

SIP? Like one of those cups that kids use so they don't spill their apple juice?

Q: What do you call a Paras that specializes in the study of mental phenomena that are excluded from or inexplicable by orthodox scientific study? A: A Paras-psychologist!
-
Q: What do you call a Paras that answers your phone and schedules your appointments? A: A Parasecretary!

Sorry I forgot to do the February theme. Thought I'd make up for it by metallifying my old-school Makarvatar. Here's the full-size pic for posterity!

Hooray for people being not-dead!

And I LOVE IT.

I keep refreshing every now and then, just to make sure.

Javier, come back to us more often!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qybUFnY7Y8w Okay, maybe I have a soft spot for Rube Goldberg machines. Still pretty awesome video.

Them's some beautiful Kilo-class armaments. Nice to see the scoop design at work! Successor's got a lot of cool extras like that reflector shield.
-
Sorry I haven't been on iChat more often, and/or drinking at home. ^__^ I feel the love!

Another massive Successor ship I took an extremely slow approach to this ship (1.5 hours!), and it seemed to pay off; despite somewhat weak firepower, I eventually got it to duke a Kilo-class. Didn't beat him, but it was a hell of a ride. It took me FOREVER to find ships with constant thrust, and it's a pain to have only…

Successor Ship I too had a hell of a time finding engines, but the firepower was nice. EDIT: HOLY SHIT THIS ONE'S WAY BETTER It's a friggin' tank.
-
That ship does nicely! And playing through with it gave me some great ship design inspiration. Ended up building a killer array or structures in the back of the ship protecting thrusters from attack.
-
The scoop design also comes in handy to envelop enemy ships and blast 'em away. I'll usually circle around to a side of their ship that isn't armed, interlock with the ship and fire at will. Captain Successor has a surprising depth in terms of custom configuration. It's sometimes difficult to decide what type of ship to…

The ship save is just to show off your creations. Kilo-class is definitely attainable! It all comes down to key building decisions made early in the game, since it's often difficult to tear down and rebuild when a cache of new ship supplies comes along. My strategy is to build two wings outward from the command module and…

I don't recall how long you have to play, but if you survive to a certain point, then after death you'll see a screen allowing you to generate URLs for Twitter, Facebook and the like. Just bought the full version of the game last night, Captain Successor! Looks much more in-depth in terms of strategy and variety of ship…

This one turned out pretty well! I just took it for a spin and got to Juliet before being annihilated. I'll try to find more of my saved ships (I usually post the best ones to Twitter). EDIT: This one's even better. It's got Juilet-class guns! I accidentally placed a turret on the right side that fires spread shots, so you…

Watched last night. WOW. I wasn't a big fan of the Holmes actor but everything else was a delight. I always knew something was missing from Sherlock Holmes stories, and that something turned out to be making all the enemies robots or cyborgs. After having seen a few The Asylum movies, I feel like this one was the classiest…
-
Sometimes you just have to cut and run. If I've got enough thrust I'll sometimes slap pieces onto my ship haphazardly, rocket a safe distance away from attackers and regroup. This tactic is nearly impossible when you reach Kilo-class though.
-
Dude, kickass! Let us know when it's published.

Judith is another fun short game I found. The game makes neat use of repetitive actions for story advancement by way of the character having dreams running parallel with a distant past, yielding the means of advancement. Very simple gameplay, but a cool method of storytelling. I've been playing a lot of Captain Forever…

I realize that trying to match the sexy shrug is a daunting task, but you gotta have goals! People should see how it came out; maybe they can provide some pointers. Lauren's Sexy Shrug, take one!

Bought my iMac in 2007, had my own eMac before that since 2002, built a PC tower before that in 1996. I'd probably go insane from brain explosion if I didn't have a computer of my own. Of course, it'd be hard to continue to share a computer with family when I'm not living with family. I own more than one computer but would…
