Request Product Experience: Shoe Paint

edited August 2007 in Comics
Can someone recommend a type of paint that I can use on (the leather part of) a shoe that will not chip, crack, or fade and can stand up to regular athletic use? Specifically I want to mod a pair of roms so I can have my own pair of Team Zissous. The type they currently sell now needs to have the color changed in a few places, so this needs to be some hardy paint.

SCIENCE! demands the paint be some sort of biogenetically constructed quasi-senient nanoentity.

Also it must be available in red.

Get advice from your local haberdashery!

I always wanted an excuse to say "haberdashery".

I hear If you paint your shoes, the government considers you a threat and has you shipped off to Area 51 to test alien weaponry of you.

Wait, are we not doing that in this thread?

Well...at the very least I learned the word "haberdashery"!

I'm pretty sure they sell Team Zissou's somewhere. Though they're probably more expensive than painting them yourself.

Team Zissous are not officially sold by Adidas. The ones you may see for sale (ebay or otherwise) are mods done by folks looking to make a buck.

This says to use diluted acrylic paint and do multiple coats, it even has instructions!

I suppose you could also dye the leather on the shoes, but I think you're doing a small enough area where that'd be overkill.
