Too bad its not coming out for the Wii initially. Though it will eventually I suppose.

I love guitar hero. Though I don't own any of them, I've played so many times I can beat most songs on expert in both games.

I'll probably get 3 for the Wii, despite the fact that its not made by the same people and probably won't be as good. At least I can use those guitars for rock band when that finally comes out.

Ya'know, my brother works for Nevrsoft, he's worked a bit on GH3.

One of the songs he suggested got into the game, as I recall.

Is Safety Dance in it? Safety Dance makes everything better.

Although I'm not sure how they'd work a mainly synthesized song like Safety Dance into Rock Band. Still, it'd be awesome.

You can dance if you want to
you can leave your friends behind
    'cause your friends don't dance
    and if they don't dance
they ain't no friends of mine.

I think its "well they're, no friends of mine". I'm not sure why I have knowledge of a few random 80's songs, but I'm glad Safety Dance is one of them.

I've played Guitar Hero a few times, and I've always thought the game was insanely fun, but I've never really enjoyed the songs, except for a few here and there.

If they put out a metal mix... oh man I would go out and buy a guitar and a game the very day it came out. But alas, looks like that's not going to happen. I guess metal is just too "adult" or something for the likes of Guitar Hero, even though there are a ton of good bands that don't swear or worship Satan.

    I totally will.

As media, I have "front of line" privileges, but that only means I'll be battling the line of other media people.

There are quite a lot of metal songs in Guitar Hero 2. Many of them are bonus songs, so thats why you might not have seen them.

Serephel, I love you for posting that video. I absolutely love that rendition of Through the Fire and the Flames.

After looking through the song list, there were a few more metal songs than I had at first thought, but still only a few total. There are even a few songs where I like some of the artists' stuff, but not those particular songs (Avenged Sevenfold, Incubus). There was also a lot of stuff I didn't recognize.. I'll have to look through it. But there are a lot of really awesome songs and artists that just aren't represented. I guess I'm just difficult to please with a guitar game. With DDR, I can dance to almost anything and I'm not that picky. But I play air guitar and sing and scream at the top of my lungs all the time to this music, so I'd really like to play some stuff that I can really get into. Guns N' Roses just doesn't do it for me.

Well, Through Fire and Flames is officially on GH3, apparently it's a lot harder than Jordan (although 2 people mashing on the fretboard as fast as they can will do that).

I just hope Rush's "Spirit of the Radio" will show up in one of the games.

Holy crap, I think that this version is even more insane than the one Serephel posted. I saw a list of 30 of 70 songs that are going to be on GH3... nothing particularly jumped out at me, save this song, but we'll see what other songs are made available.

The lines were batshit insane-- literally. The lines had exactly the same kind of severe mental illness as guano. I didn't get to get in, even with a press pass.

Here's a blurry picture I took of some dudes just having a grand old time:
