Boxen is a program for creating comic panel layouts. It was written in C# and requires the .Net framework 2.0.

When the program starts, you will be presented with a single panel layout. You can split this panel either vertically or horizontally through a right click menu. The resulting child panels can be further divided and more panels can be added. Gutters can be moved by dragging with the left mouse button. Panels and rows can be switched by left-dragging as well. If this sounds complicated, just start clicking and it should become clear :)

The height, width, margin, gutter, and pen sizes are all adjustable though the toolbar at the top of the window. The units displayed are inches.

To export a png file, select File->Export, and fill in the target DPI and filename. This will create a 24bit png file showing panels drawn in black on a white background. You can print this image out if you want to work by hand, or use it in your art program of choice.
Looks fairly useful if you can't draw a straight line to save your life. Mys absolutely freaked out when I sent the link to this to her.

It's only the first version, and it looks like the guy's gonna release a new version sometime this month.

Does Mys have a sort of blog or website where we can see her stuff? I feel like I'm the only person who doesn't know about it, if it in fact exists.

Well that'd make two of us who don't know about it.
