Some day I'll make these with some semblance of regularity. A man can dream, anyway.

At first I read the title as "The Bad News Beaver" and thought, this is gonna be awesome. Link's pose in the last panel makes up for lack of beavers.

Also, hot chocolate in California? That's just weird.

It's cold out tonight (44 degrees as I type this)! And I never liked coffee. And beavers aren't inherently awesome comic elements! I mean, they probably are most of the time, but, uh, yeah.

    Teehee.

*makes an effort to return to the topic, as the comic's only been up for like ten minutes*

Have Link's adventures ever been fun? They always seem to involve pain on his part.

Well, there was that one time, wait, no...

I love the "oh woe is me" pose Link's got in the last panel.

I got halfway through the comic before I realized I had forgotten to put Blooper in. Had to drag over Link's downwardly-angled arm from Episode 300 and draw over a custom pose for each of Link's walking sprites! As a result, I think this is the first time we've seen his hand holding the shield.

Wait, where'd it go in the last panel?
  • edited December 2007
    On his back presumably.
  • edited December 2007
Link's front poses don't normally include a sword, so I didn't feel the need to include it when I made that custom sprite. I had always assumed it to be sheathed on his back in such situations.

Getting dragged through a vast desert must be a real bummer for Zeld- I mean Blooper.

EDIT: Be glad that I said bummer and not "drag".

I'm just glad you didn't say banana.

To get there, won't they need a hammer, raft, and possibly flute? Unless they skip that stuff again. Which would make more sense.
  • edited December 2007
They'll use Blooper as a raft; as for the hammer I'm sure Links head can substitute.

44 degrees, at night? HA I laugh at your ideas of cold ha ha it's 30 degrees here and in in the day.

edit:Also I think of that as kind of warm for Dec.

Comfort zones are relative! East coast jerks always lording their ungodly low temperatures over me...

You can get your revenge when we complain about 70 degree weather in the summer.

Doesn't Link realize that he's dragging "Zelda" across the hot desert sand?

You'd think she'd have dried out by now.

Really, she should be dead...Wait is it even a she?????

Okay, obviously you have nothing else to do. But Mario make a decision, is it a boy or a girl??? We must know.
  • edited January 2008
It didn't take that long, actually. I only stopped on the Blooper-related episodes.
  • edited January 2008
Ahhh...I'm gonna go through the archives now, just because I'm bored.
  • edited January 2008
Before Mario replies I want to put in my vote.

I'm under the impression its a guy.
  • edited January 2008
Actually I went back, and it seems to be leaning toward the girl direction.
  • edited January 2008
    Proof?

In Mario 3, some bloopers had a trail of baby bloopers, so it's entirely possible that this one could be female.

Since most aquatic animals lay eggs, it is quite possible that the male bloopers watch over the young. It's how it works for many types of fish.
