To me, it doesn't really seem to match the few voiced parts he does have. His lifting grunt, or falling scream.

I think voices added to the Zelda series would be AWESOME. I think the muteness as a "tradition" is an excuse for laziness.

I don't think so... I think they're making sure they don't spoil a good thing. Bad voice overs would KILL any future Zelda game. Link has a personality to live up to, and adding a voice could destroy that.
