I think I created an account once and played it for about two minutes and then me and my friends decided to play something else.

Any respect I may have had for you is now greatly deminished.

Ummmm, well I used too but I’m trying to forget those days...
    :(

Jeez, why does everyone slam on Runescape? It's a good game.

I used to think that too and I was an adamant defender of its name, but like I said I’m trying to forget those days. It used to be a little better, but they just keep making it worse, like no killing in the Wild unless you’re in the arena thingy. It’s just pointless now (not that there was ever much of a point)

    NO.

I played that game all of five minutes and then uninstalled it, like six years ago,

Not only did it seem shitty, it seemed shitty even by shitty MMO standards.

The only MMO I've ever devoted a significant amount of time to was Vendetta Online. Why run around hitting rats with sticks when you can fly around blowing up spaceships with lasers?

Allow me to answer your answer your question, despite the fact that you left the internet.

    The pros.
    -Its free

    The cons.
-Free version is pretty much a demo for the member version (this may have changed, but I remember they only used to do members updates).
    -Horrible graphics.
    -Controls consist solely of clicking.
-I don't know anyone who could ever get the music to play.
-The ammount of experience required to level skills grows a lot faster than the ammount of experience you gain, leading to excruciationgly long leveling times later on.
-Way too many 11 year olds who are probably border line retarded or slightly inbred, and type things like "OMG Y U NO LIK RS ITS AWSUM!!!!!!"
-The combat system requires you to click on your opponent, then sit and watch them hit each other, with the only movement required on your part being to click on food for health. Mages are the exception, since you have to click their spells.
-The whole rune system made it way too expensive to keep your magic level near any of your other levels in most cases.
-You lose everything except your three most valuable items when you die, and gold does not count.
-The lack of an assigned class systems allows for some people to dominate pvp. Magic not working? Switch over to ranged attacks. And if that doesn't work, just put on your armor and start doing melee attacks.
-The profanity filter is too strict, making it so that parts of your words are ****'d out, because it had what could be an alternate spelling of fuck in the middle. I once was unable to find my friend for thirty minutes, simply because it wouldn't let him tell me he was near "a hole".
-I don't know if anyone else who played for an extended period of time found this, but I encountered a lot of racist people on there.

Thats all I can think of at the moment.

I was on there for 5 minutes and it sucks. I have never seen anything that sucks as much.

I thought of another that deserves its own post. If you add a space and comma, it becomes "run, escape".

Wow, you guys are all shitting on Runescape. I've never played it, but damn.

And with good reason. Runescape has terrible game mechanics, worse graphics, and, in my opinion, generally not fun to play.

I don't think I've ever seen something unanimously hated here. I wonder if there's anything else that would get this kind of treatment.

Uwe Boll, maybe, although I'm not sure how many of us have actually seen one of his movies. I know I haven't.

I took my first girlfriend to House of the Dead for our first date. Before that I didn't know who Uwe Boll was. We were expecting a good-bad horror movie. We weren't expecting a bad-bad movie.

After the movie I spent a good portion of the evening repeatedly apologizing.

Isn't that how all your dates end anyway?

When I mentioned Family Guy in chat I got an overwhelmingly negative response. What does everyone think of Family Guy?

It used to be good, then it became a subpar Robot Chicken after Fox revived it.

South Park told me I should hate it. I must obey.

    For various reasons, yes.
