Insomniac's Shack O'Shenanigans

edited March 2008 in General
Right. Going to try and sleep again at 7:30 in the AM.

In 23.5hrs I have to wake up for work. I need to fit in sleeping twice, laundry, shopping, cleaning, cooking two meals and finding my Dad a birthday present. Most of this also needs to be worked around avoiding the absurd heat that is about to start in about 2-3hrs and won't end for another 9hrs after that.

Why is it that I can stay awake for several days through sheer force of will when the occasion requires it, but try as I might it is impossible to sleep on demand?

Also moths are public enemy number 1. Why is it that when they have 3 screens and a large flourescent light to bat against they decide to DIVEBOMB MY FACE REPEATEDLY?

LIGHT DOES NOT SHINE OUT OF MY FACE. STOP TRYING TO MATE WITH IT!

Argh! Moths! They are the devil. I hope they all rot in hell. Accursed beings.

Cover your face in something, so your glowing, rugged manliness doesn't attract so many of them.

I'm pretty sure the submersible has sunk. What with it not being posted in since the middle of last year.

    Double post of WTF?

Managed to fall asleep early (about 11) and woke up at 2. Pretty much what I expected to happen. The WTF part is the fact that I woke up underneath the mattress cover. I'm pretty sure I should win a trick sleeping award or something,

nice one. Well, I blame smash bros for my lack of sleep, but on the plus side I beat Subspace emmisary last night. (at around 3:30)

I keep staying awake late watching Heroes, because I hadn't started watching it until now. I had avoided it for a while, mostly because everyone else was raving about how good it was, and I tend to avoid watching things that everyone else loves and hypes.

But now I've got my bootlegs. Yay!

I've managed to get 6 hrs of sleep for the first time in days.

Too bad I woke up at 2am...

The new group of friends that I hang out with these days (the old circle having sucessfully moved away from this shit-hole of a pseudo-city, in a dozen decent directions) are cool people, but they really don't know how to party.

1:30 in the AM and they've already piked! Most of them didn't show up until the 8 or 9! It's a good thing a decent chunk of my old group is still around, if somewhat scattered. The idea is, start at 7pm latest and finish at 6 in the AM.

Not really an insomnia post. But I know I'll be awake for a while yet because I've barely hit stride and everyone has already disappeared.

Before this past Saturday, I was getting pretty good at going to bed at a decent hour. But ever since I got Brawl, I haven't been able to get to bed before 1:00 AM, and when you start waking up at 6:30, that can catch up to you pretty quickly. I'm gonna need to try to play earlier in the evening so I can get my day wrapped up and get some damn sleep.

Obviously, "not playing" isn't an option.

Why would you even use those words in the same sentence? ...
