Hamelin tells me the key is rockets on the side. However, it's a trick question. There's no such thing as a hovercar, and there never will be. Hovercars within their fictional contexts use antigravity to suspend in midair. Antigravity is impossible, therefore there will never be a hovercar in the traditional sense. The closest technology in existence is the hovercraft, which does not need rockets on the side.

Moot moot moot.
But that would mean that where we're going we'll still need... roads.
I never said we won't have a flying car. I think personal vehicles capable of flight are definitely in The Future somewhere. Antigrav-powered hovering, not so much.

Why must you crush my dreams?
The key to the hover car is SCIENCE!
Although what's the deal with the backslash/pipe key in the corner there?
