why do i hate bubble wrap?

edited May 2008 in General
I'm compulsively drawn, when I find bubble wrap placed nearby, to pop it. I've discovered myself doing so subconciously on several occasions today... what the hell did bubble wrap ever do to me? Why can't I stop?

Did you ever see the episode of 'Monk' when Monk found bubble wrap and made the police help him pop it all?

I bought a full roll of bubble wrap last year. I still have some of it sitting in a cupboard. The temptation is sometimes almost too much to bear.

I'm pretty sure bubble wrap is the ultimate therapy.

It even beats punching annoying people in the face! And there are considerably less legal consequences.

I like taking a sheet of bubble wrap and twisting it. You get so many pops that way.

But... then you have to search a bit harder to find the bubbles that you missed. It is only best enjoyed when you have so much bubble wrap that you don't care missing some bubbles.

Which is what I imagine heaven must be like.

We have a roll of bubble wrap in storage at my office that is about 3.5 feet wide and has about .75 inch bubbles. Every time I go down there... it's there... calling to me... asking me top pop its bubbles... Some day, I'm going to take that thing out side, roll it out over the parking lot, and dance the happiest, stompiest, poppiest, bestest dance ever.
