Look in the past!
This is relevant to those of you who were here for the birth of this version of the OB (end of January '06). But it can be entertaining for everyone else too.
I went back and started reading through the oldest threads, and the threads that were first forgotten and pushed to the back of the archives.
It is a strange feeling to look back in the past. Do you all remember what you were doing 31 months ago when you made those posts? I do.
Also with forums, it is difficult to notice when people leave, because most of them never formally make an announcement. You just notice after a while that someone hasn't posted in a while, if you notice at all. There are different names that ring in the back of my mind that I had almost forgotten.
Read through the back end of the archives. They are quite fulfilling and nostalgic!

Well Lang had just posted again. Those old people do come back and show up again sometimes.
Every now and again I'll look at old threads as webcrawlers pull them up in Currently Active Users. It's odd looking at these conversations as if they just happened.
And me...
mario gets mad when i do that. i like bein' a thread necromancer though...

That's not true! We knew Inksandwich all too well!
Now, for those of you who don't know, I was there for 99% of the existence of the inksandwich boards and I have to say I have no idea when that happened. Seriously, wtf?
I like that I had the last post in my own forum, that was epic. Ok, so it wasn't, I'd locked the frickin thing so nobody else could post. I was so emo back then.
Was good times, though, truly.
*sniff*
