So, if you are going to be transferring its hosting and doing other stuff, is there a chance everything will die?

Should we start archiving our favorite threads like mad?

Should we start praying to whatever deity we worship?

And what are we going to do while the boards are down? I don't know what I would do with myself.

I was going to make a proper thread once the transfer was complete, but we can talk about it now if you want!

Hopefully downtime will be minimal. It probably won't happen tonight, since I'm having issues with the domain transfers and am currently waiting on Dreamhost support to get back to me.

I just finished backing up the vBulletin database, but I suspect more drastic measures will be necessary to transfer the database between Dreamhost accounts. I'll be looking into that, and will not start the process until we've got the procedure down and everything backed up.
