Pandora Music Genome Project
Hey folks,
Who has heard of Pandora: the resultant project of the Music Genome Project? I recommend it! Go to http://www.pandora.com/ and type in an artist or song that you like. That is your "seed". The members of the Music Genome Project have pains-takingly combed through over infinity-billion songs that exist, and they have catalogued the different qualities of each: tone, lyrics, length, tempo, instrumentation, even what it was influenced by! Using your seeds, Pandora will then play music that shares qualities with the music you said you like!
The concept is not new: Google uses it to provide ads to you. The only difference here is that it's music. Give it a try, folks!

Old man.
Mario, slap the seal of approval on that!
Well I think I heard of a site called Last.FM.
I think it's supposed to be similar or something? I haven't really used it myself so I don't know exactly but I've seen it brought up elsewhere.
I could swear we did talk about this. I keep doing this. Deja Vu and all that.
