Post-game apathy

edited September 2008 in Games
I just beat the 3rd Phoenix Wright game earlier tonight. I played the last case on/off all day and finally finished it.

Now I'm in what I call post-game apathy.

I get like this when I finish a game. Usually it is stronger with games I have a strong emotion towards, and especially towards newer games. I get in a funk where I stare ahead aimlessly without knowing what to do, or what game to play next.

Anyone else get the same way?

Very much so, like when I raced through portal in 3 hours. I felt disappointed afterwards. Same when I finished Resident Evil 4 and Twilight Princess...

Sometimes I get that... but only when I've had a TON of time to play games and feel a bit bored by gaming in general.

But I don't see that happening for quite a while.

It's time to play Apollo Justice!

I don't know... is Apollo Justice any good? Part of the appeal of the Phoenix Wright games are the characters themselves. I feel like starting a new game with a completely new cast would take away from some of the fun.

I'm still playing Valkyrie Profile on and off, but last night after posting this I actually picked up World of Warcraft again. I left off with a lev. 37 warrior, so I might be getting back into it. I should at least push myself to 40 and get my damn mount.

Apollo Justice is good enough to warrant a playthrough. I have yet to replay it though.

Mounts are level 30 and 35 gold plus training now. Or at least in America.

Wait, is that with the latest patch? I just patched it, but I didn't bother to read the patch notes, because usually they're for high level stuff that doesn't apply to me.

I did get a random letter in my mailbox about training for mounts. I should check that out.
