Nice to know my opinions I express on the forums are being discussed in far off lands :P
I often find myself referencing to something I either found out about or talked about here in regular conversations with my friends... Although I don't think they actually know anything about the forums, they at least know that I visit forums and post on them regularly.
That's some prime advice you're getting here. You have to make your bad habit something worth it, like hard drugs or alochol... or at least collecting comic books. But c'mon, forgetting numbers? Pssh.
A few years ago, my brother was really engrossed by webcomics- PennyArcade, Questionable Content, Order of the Stick, and about a few hundred others that I've forgotten the names of. Anyways, one day, he ran into Zelda Comic after Mario posted #282, and showed it to me. About six months later, I think around #284, I noticed Mario's mention of the first Orange Belt Sprite Comic Contest.
A friend of mine was like all: "This forum is pretty cool."
In the insane amount of being bored that followed (As it often does on a Sunday), I was stubbornly curious to use that one Google tool.
I feel bad about not putting anyone in the reference box, because I still have no idea what their username is. I refuse to ask them until I figure it out though.
How'd that going to bed thing work?
It didn't. Silly forum.
Well, it's certainly a cooler forum than the likes of the ones I've seen over the internets. I might stay for over a week (Except I'm gone for the next week, so ha!)
Side note: I don't think the person who told me about the forum actually knows that I joined it, mostly because I haven't bothered to tell them yet.
He's gotta be with those young ones that pop in and out of here. Queen and that other riff-raff she led here.
Hey! The last time I told my friends not to join, as I knew you guys would tear them to shreds over their grammar/really stupid posts. This time I just mentioned the OB is passing and he found his way here.
Rorandon, I am not responsible for any emotional or physical harm that may come to you here.

And that's my tale. Epic, no?
On a side note, I bet the Official Intro Thread feels neglected.
HEY!!! I resemble that remark.

This could upset the balance of sugar in American digestive systems. Things could go to shit really soon.
...I legitimately thought you were kidding the last time you said I couldn't have a cookie due to shortages.
oh no you did NOT
