Happy Birthday to ME MOTHERFUCKERS

:holdit:

Our little tradition of posting wacky pictures has served us well in the past.

BUT!

It seems to have lost traction in recent months. Wacky pictures were well and good back when they were traded person to person, like some underground black market. But now, every Joe Blow and his mother has a cat lolling about on the ground with CAN I HAZ photoshopped in High Impact font on it.

We need something else!

Therefore, for my birthday, I don't request wacky pictures. I instead want you to observe the anniversary of my birth by throwing out suggestions of ways we can celebrate each other's birthdays around here! Wacky Youtubes, wacky links, wacky songs, wacky games, wacky something! Something fun that not only is amusing to all but also says, "Hey, Birthday guy/gal. Keep on truckin', we'd be lost without you." LET'S KEEP THE CAMARADERIE ALIVE!

lol, after I just got done telling Eri--I mean, uh, FistSanta, that he'd like your birthday thread cuz we always posted funny pictures for peoples' birthdays.

But if you insist! Ummm... we could possibly collab on some sort of birthday comic, and people would just post the next panel? To keep away confusion, you might be able to call dibs on 1st panel, 2nd panel, etc. and then edit the panel in for the rest.

I can imagine that would get pretty fun.

Happy Birthday, Professor! You're as old as my girlfriend! That's kinda disconcerting, but also oh so comforting at the same time!

I like Lauren's idea of a group comic, it works as a personalized and renewable new gift to forumites everywhere. I only wonder how long such a comic would take, given how many well known slack-asses there are here.

biffibisquiby: did you like my birthday comic collab idea?
Dr Faustus Lives: well, yes and no
Dr Faustus Lives: yes because it's a great idea and it would be awesome
Dr Faustus Lives: but no because I know how the OB works and everyone would claim a panel but then never do it
Dr Faustus Lives: particularly in those months where we have a lot of B-days
    biffibisquiby: I suppose thats true

Happy Birthday, you're getting a STAR WARS COLOURING SHEET this year.

This is a good idea! Let's all color this picture for Jakey's birthday!

Oh Ryan, you silly. I LOLed for real.

I'm going to have to think on this one. What would be good for birthdays??

Neither of those actually look like the lightsabres used by Luke and Vader in that fight (both similar designs since Anakin built both of them) and Luke is slashing across Vader's hilt, rather than his blade, so Vader shouldn't be able to deflect the blow.

Well, if you've ever seen the REALLY early Star Wars movie posters, Vader is holding what looks like an actual sword hilt, crossguard and everything. It's quite erroneous.

I honestly thought Vader was fighting April O'Neil there for a second.

    Happy birthday Jake and X!

happy birthday, you internet person, you!

I don't have anything particularly wacky but hopefully this daft punk animated gif will distract you for a few minutes.

I think birthday threads could just contain any wacky/interesting gift-media you think the person would like.

    haha daft punk helmets!

Am I late to the party? Why is it that I saw that uncolored comic and though it was April O'Neil fighting Shredder with lightsabers and I was like...AWESOME!

Then I remembered it was actually Star Wars and I was like. Oh. Well, it's still awesome.

Happy Birthday Jakey! Also, it's my B-Day too. What a coincidence, huh? Maybe I should remix a 6:35. Except I gotta get up early because my folks are heading to the other side of the pond or something tomorrow morning and I gotta do some extra stuff to hold down the fort for them.

Also, for some reason I recall some hourly comic thing being today. And apparently the Superbowl was today.

Oh Yeah! WHat is his name? John Campbell and his hourly comics, right?

Happy Birthday to both Jakey and X'o'Lore! I proppose we each write a haiku next time someone's birthday comes up.
