Even though I used to buy every single version of the main pokemon games (I had red, blue, yellow, gold silver crystal...), nowadays I just buy one version, because they're too similar. Although I did read about Platinum in Nintendo Power yesterday, and the game did seem to have its fair share of differences. Not enough for me to pick it up though. Let me know how it is.
I can't justify playing Pokémon anymore. There aren't enough differences even between different generations. It's the same old grind every damn time, and I still like my Blue and Gold lineups that even come over to the Advance/DS generation. La-ame.
I got Platinum, making this the first generation of Pokemon that I've owned all three games from. Sure, the monsters are crap nowadays, but the games themselves are better, so I get the best of both worlds by trading over the eggs of cool pokemon and playing the new games with old pokemon.
Ditto (hehe) for me, really, because I import a lot of old Ruby and Sapphire stuff like Heracross because I can't be bothered to raise the same thing twice. Nintendo should remake G & S like they did Red and Blue.
I'm just curious. Is it possible to take a pokemon from Red and Blue and keep on trading it up through the list in varying ways until you get it to Pearl or Diamond?
Evil is a word that is not of concrete origin. One might consider something evil while others might perceive it as just. Point of View is not set, but I agree that you have a right to give us your point of view.
Also, shoes taken'd
EDIT: Weird factoid. Sino is Latin for China, and the region the latest gen of pokemon takes place in is Sinnoh. Coincidence?
Rebuttal: Pokemon is awesome. Also, you like Bionicle, your argument is invalid. Can anyone note that as a Sick Burn?
I beat the Pokemon League! It was especially difficult this time around, and Flint was surprisingly hard for someone who had nothing but fire types instead of his former weird set. I also managed to get the Griseous Orb and get Origin Giratina. I also traded my event Shaymin over, and got the Gracedia Flower, but I couldn't get Sky Forme because it was 2 in the morning. Curse you internal DS clock!
I've got Platinum, now I'm just waiting for the Platinum upgrade of My Pokemon Ranch. (I don't care if you think My Pokemon Ranch is a waste of Wii Points.)
Bionicles are for little kids, and never reached the same popularity as Pokemon. They also had really stupid names for the most part. I'm going to guess more people like Pokemon today than Bionicles at the peak of their popularity.

Lego named half the Bionicles after island in Hawaii, I think.
Because we all advertise stupid crap every now and then and we have a couple threads devoted specifically to advertising slightly stupid crap (this thread included). The fact is he's not doing it all the time, he not explicitly trying to make us buy anything, and he's only been here for long enough to know certain little unwritten rules we have. Deal with it 'til he gets used to the Belt.
Although I feel an adjustion period should be allowed, I think he had better stop his advertising pretty soon. Granted, this thread is all about something I fully believe you should all buy, the thread itself waas meant more for the discussion of the game. I'm fine with this off-topicness, though, because we all EVENTUALLY go off-topic, and I'd be a hypocrite to say that I want this to go back on topic and all of you to go back to Platinum.
no one likes pokemon anymore. It is for little kids! Bionicle is way better than pokemon!:tmyk:
1. Plenty of people are talking about pokemon in this thread. Therefore, your statement about no one liking pokemon is irrelevant. Generalization statements that pretend to speak for me too are a pet peeve of mine.
2. As a former Lego lover who was playing with Blacktron, M-Tron, and Space Police Lego brands long before your father was ever thinking of fucking your mother, I can tell you with the benefit of experience that Bionicle is nothing more than the retarded bastard child of Lego's long lost inbred cousin. This is most obvious in the fact that every Bionicle toy is only about four pieces.

Yes, GBA, not DS. They ripped it and crammed it on a GBA cartridge.
Like this:
red-silver (FAIL) sapphire-diamond
so you can between red and silver, and sapphire and diamond, but not between silver and sapphire.
Oh, and I've already beaten the 2nd gym. The Buneary with all three elemental punch moves I traded over finally listens to me!
But then I thought, HA, when do I have time for video games?

This is from when Lego was good.
