Sherlock Holmes: Action Hero
This is the coolest thing that I've ever seen:
This may seem like a huge departure for the character but really, judging by this trailer, all they're doing is taking the aspects of Sherlock that were in Doyle's original stories but that tend to be glossed over by its adaptations and cranking them up to 11. Plus they've finally got someone appropriate to play Watson; the guy was meant to be the suave lady's man in the books but Nigel Bruce reduced him to an overweight, doddering foil for Holmes and that portrayal has pretty much stuck. Hearing Robert Downey Jr. speaking with an English accent is a bit jarring and he doesn't really look a lot like Sidney Paget's drawings but beyond that he looks awesome in the role.
Finally, there's a movie coming out this year that I can be genuinely excited about.
