Follow me to West End Stardom!
Okay, so West End stardom is a bit extreme, however, I am going to be attending an audition in exactly two weeks for Sweeney Todd. As my audition piece I will be singing "On the street where you live".
Now, I used to sing when I was in my early teens, but gave it up. However, I am now starting again. Many of you will know my affinity with the world of musical theatre, and dipping my toe in shall be fun. Of course, as I have no experience, I must be a realist and accept I may not get a part, but it's worth the try.
But how can you track me? Simple! Every few days I will be posting an audio recording of my progress (Thank you, iPhone 3.0!), so you can monitor how I am doing, and then I'll tell you how the actual audition goes and we can all hold our breaths collectively!
Here is recording one: Second day of singing, second attempt of trying that song. I have a little trouble with the lower notes, so the next one will be transposed up half a tone to D Flat, to match the film version.

It's kind of hard to hear though, the music is louder than you are.
