I quit!

edited July 2009 in General
I don't know if this would fit in the success or the hate thread, but I quit my job and I'm moving up to Freemantle at the end of the month. To live with my brother.

So, some good, some bad.

In the short term it'll mean being unemployed again, but I will actually be in something describable as a city. So more job opportunities, actual public transport, people, concrete and glass. But I'll probably be off internet for a while, whilst I'm getting set up.

So, enjoy it whilst it lasts, I'll be finishing up work on the 31st.

I very nearly quit my quasi-job myself recently. I don't think they want me to leave though. I think I said something about that situation in a different thread though.

I always count intentional movement of any sort as a success. it's too easy to just settle where you are, even if it is "good enough". Even if you have a minor decline in the short term, it's definitely worth it for future opportunities. So, congratulations, man.

Adam's definitely right on this one. It's a success, because you are taking a calculated risk in the hopes of better opportunities in the future. Good luck!

For a split second, I thought you were quitting the forums upon reading the thread title. Don't scare me like that!

Absolutely a success when you're the one initiating the action. You will find better work! And the forums will be waiting for you once you find yourself some Internet. Don't be a stranger!

Hahaha. Like I could quit the forums. Where else would I go to stroke my ego?

And thanks everyone for saying it's awesome news, but I do have to say I am moving in with my brother. Which could be.... volatile.
