    .... Explain.

I met a girl who dresses like she's from the 80's and loves serial killers in my acting class. I really hope I go out with her.

You have serial killers in your acting class? You might want to think about dropping it.
  • edited September 2009
Nah, I've been watching Dexter. I'm ok with them as long as they don't do anything to mangle my balls. I've grown quite fond of lefty and righty.
  • edited September 2009
    Dexter is awesome.
  • edited September 2009
    It so is.

Seriously, it's the best drama on TV, in my mind.

Thank god for Netflix. I've been watching it on my xbox. Unfortunately, it only has the first two seasons for instant playing. I have to get the dvds for season 3.

I just got the 3rd season off netflix, it's awesome.

I have heard lots of good things about Dexter, but I have no idea what the show is about.
  • edited September 2009
It's about a forensic blood spatter expert who is also a serial killer. A serial killer with a heart of gold.

Well.... kinda. First sentence yes. Second sentence no.

The main character has a constant dark urge within him to kill. His father recognized this at an early age and started teaching him to channel this desire in certain ways: namely, killing killers. He doesn't do it to be morally good or to uphold justice... they're just the most logical targets to fulfill his needs. Much of the show focuses on the psychological reasons WHY Dexter has this desire and why he lacks any genuine emotions, so there's quite a bit of interesting character development throughout the series.

A bit? The whole series is "MY WORLD IS BEING SHATTERED but everything is ok again but I learned a lesson out of it WELP time to go kill some people!"

    In conclusion: women!

    I'd like to cosign this.

I'd like to make an emendation... change women to people.

    You crazy misanthrope!

    I like... Dexter's Lab.

Back to the important part: women are crazy. DUH.
  • edited September 2009
They really are. Sometimes they just freak out and get upset for no real reason. Call me crazy but I'd almost say it happens in a pattern, like once a month or so. But now I guess I'm the one being paranoid.

What's so great about women anyway?
  • edited September 2009
    Boobs.

I actually find that I'm generally more comfortable in the company of women. Granted, this is really only when concerning people who play typical gender roles. But typical women are more open to talking about people, events, emotions, future plans, etc, to more than just a polite, dismissive degree. Guys just tend to talk about things... like cars and tools.
  • edited September 2009
I talk about computers and videogames in place of cars and tools. I am a nerd.
  • edited September 2009
Well, I like it when people talk about THOSE sorts of things. But those people aren't the norm, you know?
  • edited September 2009
Shut up. You are not different. You have preferences, and you like to talk about them. Welcome to humanity.

I disagree! Boys are way more fun to talk to. They joke about silly things and gross dirty things that girls for the most part are too civilized to talk about. Girls go on about relationship problems and how it's not their fault, and most of the time guys will just say "Girls are crazy" and leave it at that. I find it amusing! Girls are too high maintenance to talk to.

Plus I LOVE talking and a guy is more likely to let me ramble without telling me what their opinion is, while girls would more likely start a conversation. Guys understand my type of crazy, girls don't :)

Yeah, Lauren, that's exactly what I'm talking about... what you do is why I feel a bit more at ease around girls. I like to listen.
