Help me make a Warlock (WoW thread)

So after getting back into wow after 3 months, it seems that all my skills have been reset! Again! I have a lev. 70 gnome warlock.

I might as well remake him. But I completely forget what kind of build I had before. I have a guild for my lock, and it seems to have grown a lot, so I would expect to do raids and instances. But I don't play in groups with any kind of frequency, due to a myriad of factors like trying to be social and staying at home and getting drunk instead. So I may play solo occasionally too.

Also keep in mind that I am playing on Chinese servers. Lich King has not yet been released in China, but we have all of the similar patches and skills as you all do. The skill tree is exactly the same, we just can't get to lev. 80 and are subsequently unable to use the 10 extra talent points you can. This adds a slight change to the skill strategy.

This is something like what I had as a destro lock... lots of bloody firepower. Of course, without those extra 10 you're missing out on some extra hit % from the top of the affliction tree and you can't get all of fire and brimstone. But Chaos Bolt is really nice as an addition to your arsenal and might be worth it.

What you do is, you take your Warlock, you strip everything off him, sell it all in the AH (empty your bank too) and then you re-roll a warrior.

A tauren warrior.

With twin daggers.

All I know is this patch Chaos Bolt is a big part of the lock's rotation...Or at least I see them flying constantly

If it helps, This is the top lock in my guild as well as the 4th on our server. I'd suggest specing the same in destro except for your -10 points, only put points into improved imp (hurr hurr imp imp.)


And what's that about a pro shaman? Oh right, that would be me.

If you have about anything I can contact a lock friend of mine...I assume you guys are still on content like BT? We were raiding around that time so maybe she could help you out a little better with specs at that point in time.

Probably one of the more geared locks on our server, ergo we kind of suck. But I do like his spec a lot, regardless. He's 80, so it might be meaningless, but just for a point of reference. I'd save his demonology one as well in case you ever consider finishing to 80.

Seriously though, fuck it. I play WofLK on the Taiwan servers, and I use a proxy to keep my ping low because I'm totally haxx. Taiwan servers are like two days behind US updates, if they're behind at all. So I'll get to play Cata this year in Taiwan. I won't if I play in China.

Wasn't the big deal with WotLK all of the reanimated bones? I wouldn't think they'd be that much more strict with cata although....they still have to go through the REST of the 'china-proof' checklist..
