Christmas Presents!
Let's all be a bit voyeuristic and share what gifts we got for Christmas!
I got a:
PSP Fat (Second hand, but I wanted a fat specifically for the superior build quality and ease of hacking. I've been playing Super Mario Bros. 3 on it )
HTC Hero
A selection of Smellies
CD
Gloves

Vacuum
Desk/lamp combo
Detroit Lions gnome
a game called Wits and Wagers
Two pairs of silk under-drawers with special prints on them (90% of the profits from each of them go to a different charity related to the print.)
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (it pwns.)
40 bucks.
The book, John Dies at the End.
and a new laptop. (Not technically for Christmas.)
$100 cash
An LED cap light. (I don't wear caps...)
Some candy that I don't like.
I'm an adult. I don't get awesome loot anymore unless I get it for myself.
I got:
The Book of Genesis illustrated by R. Crumb.
A copy of The Jungle.
The fallout 3 add-ons.
Fifty blank cds.
Sixty AA batteries.
A Dr Demento cd.
A Barns & Noble gift card.
So yeah, sweet loot.
I got a pair of jeans I will probably be taking back soon
2 shirts
Candy
My uncle got me Time Machine for my Mac
Food Processor
Hair towel thing... my mom said she got it for a dollar, haha
and a Blow-Dryer. I haven't actually received this yet, but I asked my mom for it earlier and since my next biggest present was a pillow (an awesome pillow at that), she thought it would be reasonable enough.
I'm excited!
A new iPod Touch (To replace my dying 4gb iPod Nano)
A small backpack for skiing/hiking daytrips
A small lightweight camping stove
A few types of teas and tea samplers with a teapot
A book of Alex Gray’s artwork
Shaving Cream and Lip Balm from Dr. Bronner's
my family gave me table runner/placemats, tea towels, a clock for the kitchen. Also a compost pail and big heavy scissors like the ones I grew up with.
Sweetie's gift is upcoming and supposed to be a tablet.
'Secret santa' with the inlaws, a cute clutch purse, box of chocolates, pendant.
We're really excited about the compost pail.
Edit: My post sounded like I was ungrateful, but I actually love my presents. I keep occasional toys at my desk because I'm a fucking child, and one of them is a giant retarded rabbit-like stuffed animal that is soft and adorable. And people here who have visited Japan should remember the realistic looking food replicas placed outside restaurants to supplement their menus; I got a bowl of noodles that looked like those, except it was hollowed out into a coin bank, which I desperately needed to hold my accumulating change at work.
Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 (wrestling is my guilty pleasure)
Infamous
Live at Reading by Nirvana
Within a Mile of Home by Flogging Molly
Raditude by Weezer
I Told You I Was Freaky by Flight of the Conchords
Cage the Elephant (self titled!)
2 big dvd racks to hold all of my games and cds and dvds and what have you (I haven't even filled up the first one)
For some odd reason, an FMA Wallscroll (this is just how big of a nerd my family thinks I am)
A very generic black zip-up hoodie
Brian Kendrick and Paul London action figures
A Giraffe (that I have named Rudiger)
A Faberge Egg
1 pair of socks with a microsoft point card hidden inside it
hoodie. with. speakers.
New Super Mario Bros for the Wii
A number of gift cards to various restaurants
White chocolate and spiced hot chocolate mixes and stoneware mugs to go with them
A nice big throw blanket
A few nice pairs of pants and nice shirts for my impending employment
And a cool cooking book. It doesn't have many recipes in it. It's mostly about how to use various ingredients and techniques, like how to use marjoram and how to skin a pineapple.
