You look better with the beard.

We need pictures of Adam next to small women to get proper perspective.

Shame on you, OB! You've let this magnificent thread fall to the third page! Luckily I've come to save it!

I decided to try something weird: moustache + bottom part of goatee.

I've been rocking a goatee for about 6 years now...yo.jpg

    Goatees rock!

    This thread pisses me off!

It always appears after I shave and have killer shaving rash! :hulk:

I just shaved it all away today. It was getting long and unkempt. Also, Chinese people have difficulty recognizing white people, so I also shaved because I already had a haircut. If I do both at the same time, sometimes people don't recognize me anymore. It's funny.

That is very fun. I think i had the best Asian confusing hair cut ever though. I just started growing my beard again. It's gonna rock China's fucking socks off.

You did. You had like a foot of long wavy hair and a thick beard to match. You looked like a hobo in Japan. And then one day, it was all gone.

Shit, even I almost didn't recognize you at first.

This was me about a year ago. I'll see if I can find my camera sometime soon and post a beard update.

    Well now I feel inadequate.

We've been chatting with an apathetic hobo all this time? He sleeps in the street! His beard is all overgrown and scraggly, like some misguided hippie time-traveller. he smokes! he always has a bottle of booze! He doesn't even wear shoes! And he doesn't give a damn because he is Apathy with a capital "A".

Closed Captioning provided by the number "6" and the letter "W".

Yes ma'am. Jon does in fact take the slacker lifestyle very seriously. Or at least he has the look down very well.
  • edited August 2010
Being a slacker is serious business.

    It takes years to perfect...

Seriously, that's pretty much why I don't shave.

I couldn't think of anything creative for the link

Mustaches and beards are pretty much the same thing at this point, right?

Trimmed the beard a bit the other day.

And just so that nobody gets worried, here's an out-of-focus picture of me drunk:

Not bad. My own beard grows slowly and is much smaller as I had it trimmed back a good bit from my trip to Japan.

EXHIBIT A: Me in Japan, wandering around our "spacious" hotel room.

EXHIBIT B: None. I don't have a camera. Shut up.

I am a worthless worm, a pitiful malcontent in the world of beard growing.

I haven't shaved in two months. What's the result?

    15p351u.jpg

    Goddamn neckbeard.
    ;_;

That said, I could give myself a mean pair of chops, I guess...
  • edited March 2011
It seriously just doesn't grow in the front? I think you should go for the chops. Shave your neck and give the chops another 2 months.

I still shave off all my facial hair. Oh yeah. I'm so nonconformist.

I got to trim a beard for the first time in my life today! Not my beard (I'm still waiting for that Jesus beard to grow in), but it was still fun! Greg gave me his trimmer and let me have at it. He's so nice!

That's quite the show of trust!

Over the past 4 years, I've developed a bit of a personal tradition: during finals week, I do not shave. This hasn't ever been that big of a deal for me, as I usually only shave about twice a week anyway (though I'm starting to need about three). Plus, as I neither like the look nor the feel of the horrible chinmoss that results, I have often chickened out of the shaveless week.

However, this is my final semester in college. This is my final following of this tradition. Therefore, I resolve to make this one extra special. Instead of just letting it grow for the duration of finals (two weeks, now, due to changes in scheduling), I will not shave for the entire month of April. No shaving, no trimming, nothing. (Exception: I think I have some bio presentations around the 12th. I will probably trim it to look nice for that)

I tell you this not for your benefit, but for my own. I tend to be more accountable to myself when I have written something down and posted it. Plus it's 2:30 at night and I needed a break from working on a paper.

I like beards. I think I've mentioned this once or twice.

Only if the sole purpose if that Diet Coke is to spit some Mentos into to create a soda fountain.

    Also, sure, why not?
