Yo team!

So I put up this "name that video game or computer game tune" contest and so far there are NO WINNERS!

One of you needs to change that!

There are some really obscure tunes in there (although all of them are from super-popular games; it's not like I threw in anything from Bandit Kings of Ancient China) and so really it is all about WHO KNOWS THE MOST ABOUT STUFF and maybe that person is YOU?????

    Dude I'm for realz! I did that Webcomics Webconcert thing a few weeks ago. :)

    (Also: would a spammer know what Bandit Kings of Ancient China was?)

    I don't know, trying to convince people you're not a bot sounds an awful lot like something a bot would do.

    Geez, Blue, I'm totally stumped. I was proud of myself for recognizing #4, but after that I was lost. Sadness. Still, awesome idea.

    I got four of them and swear I should know another but the rest are unfamiliar. I fail at this. Half of them don't sound familiar.

    Wow--no idea this would be this hard! No way I'm the only one who remembers all these tunes.

    I'm generally pretty good at these games. I've been kinda lazy about entering though.

    My parents didn't let me get into video games til the Gamecube era when they realized it literally couldn't do any harm.

    As a result though I didn't play a lot of classic games from my childhood with the 64, and the classic games from even earlier were sorta lost on me.

    This feels like a children's show, between the peppy host and circus music. Very nice, Blue.

    Only recognized 3, though I appreciate the original NES tunes.

    You are slightly off on #8 Behemoth. That's the FFVI ending theme #1, not FFIV. Be more careful with your roman numerals.

    #1 is specifically from link to the past, but yes, zelda overworld theme.

    #9 was the one that was bugging me. I kept wanting to think original (not super) mario bros or donkey kong. I saw others guess and felt dumb for not getting that straight off.

    Need more girl gamers guessing. This is not exactly the recommended list of the he-man woman-haters club as far as games go. The likes of Contra and Battletoads music are absent. Or even...Bad Dudes. I mean seriously. How can you forget a game that starts off with such a sweet line. "The President has been kidnapped by ninjas. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue the president?"

    Wow, I was way off. I totally should have gotten Ultima though, I have no excuse for that one. So the only ones I got right were the ones that Mario got before me, so he's the only winner.

    Like she said in the video, I don't really count because I'm working on the album and already get a free copy. It was a collaborative effort, so you totally win too!

    I was correct in my suspicion that most of my misses were Final Fantasy games. ^__^ Feel like I should have recognized the Super Mario All-Stars one though.

    Ok, I knew #1,2,3, and 8 bang on. I feel bad for missing the Pac-man. That one was bugging me like I knew it but couldn't place it for some reason at the time. #4-7 were games I haven't actually played. Well OK, I played FF7 for maybe a couple hours and gave up on it. I am not a fan of Final Fantasy after 6. Why is 7 so cyberpunk?! That's not the Final Fantasy I grew up with! Anyway, I really feel bad for missing the Myst one. Seriously I played that game a ton. It's been far too long. I must play Myst now.
