Trade Wars Rising

So, some of you may have heard of Trade Wars... it's been around for quite a while. Originally, it was a text-based space MMORPG that revolved around competition between players; you trade, you fight, you build your planets and empire.

Sylien Games made a graphical version of it several years ago, and I've recently picked it up. It's quite a lot of fun. It can be found here.

I played this game a lot in its original format when I was recovering from surgery back in high school, and I'm enjoying it quite a lot right now. The server just got over a bout of hacked-itis, and there are a few fresh games open. I thought I'd share with everyone just in case someone is looking for a fun cooperative/competitive turns-per-day sort of game. I'd be happy to help anyone out in figuring out how to play (though I'm still something of an amateur myself. At least I know the basics). Who knows, if people get into this, we could form a corporation to build our power faster and get the special ships that only corporations can get.

Just be aware, if you decide to try it out, that it's somewhat like Urban Dead in that it can be a bit difficult to fathom without some sort of guided tutorial (maybe). Let me know if anyone needs help.

I got a new book and Torchlight. I am too occupied between them to consider this at this time. Perhaps in the future.

I've gotten into this game for the past few days with Andrew. It's got a bit of a learning curve, but once you get past that it's pretty fun. Andrew and I are teamed up together in one game and pooling resources to build up our own bases and prepare to take down other players. It's quite fun once you get into it. I recommend other people here try it out too.
