So, this is kind of short notice, but for anyone living in North America who's interested, there will be a total lunar eclipse tonight. It starts at 1:32 EST and the full eclipse itself is from 2:40-3:53. It ends at 5:01.

    I just checked it. Pretty coooool! About half of the moon is covered right now, I'm gonna go out and check it again in a little while.

    Yeah, I'm not watching it straight through. It's about 20 degrees out.
    EDIT: dammit. It's gotten too cloudy to see now. And it's just supposed to get cloudier from here. Oh well, i'll check when it's totally eclipsed, I'll at least see the red glow.

    We had a perfect clear night in Hangzhou, but there was no more eclipse by then. Stupid moon.

    It was cloudy and snowing here. Sort of a problem with such things.

    It was slightly cloudy here, but it was a fine (if blurred) view from Zlam's house.
