Search function

Is there any way to refine the search function to be more specific? If I'm looking for a certain post, I try and search by keyword. However, the search results just give me the thread, not the page. Am I using it wrong? Or is there a better way to use the search function? Sometimes posts I'm looking for are in the old effed up news pages, and there are like 150 of them.
