The Orange Belt: Made in... Turkey?

edited April 2011 in General
So, the other day we went into town. We got the 58 bus and bought two first days (All-day bus tickets) for £4.30 each (One for me, one for Vienna, Esmé rode free) and had a totally unassuming journey into town.

While in town, we went into a few shops and purchased a few items. Had McDonald's for lunch. Vienna had a Chicken Supreme, I had Chicken Nuggets. Only a small amount of ice was placed into my coke for a change. Esmé had a pot of baby bolognese, with small pieces of pasta within it. She seemed to enjoy it.

The weather was pleasant, but again unassuming. Warm with a nice breeze. Vienna had to use the lavatory at one point.

We went into a shop called poundworld, where everything costs a single great british pound sterling. Bought some pots for storing baby food in, and then went to the sweet section.

Vienna bought some haribo. I was going to buy some haribo also, but then something occurred.

Naturally, as soon as I saw them, I knew I had to buy the damn things!

Now, many have wondered as to what makes the belt is so awesome, the answer is this: Sugar, Glucose Syrup, Wheat Flour, Acidulants (citric acid, malic acid), vegetable oil, apple juice concentrate, orange flavour, Emulsifier (E471), Colour (Paprika Extract). Contains Gluten. May contain traces of lecithin.

They are made by Sweeties, a company based in Romford and are indeed made in Turkey.

And don't worry! No artificial colours!

Now, you're no doubt wondering what they taste like. Well, they're not bad. Not overly sour, a slight hint. As for orange flavour, it tastes quite like orange juice. Definitely worth a pound.

Oooh, I love sour gummi candy! I've had stuff like what you're showing before (except it was sour apple, not orange), and I thought it was great. My mouth is watering just at the sight...
