A day at the museum

So, I went to the British Museum, saw some cool stuff like:

Our very own Mario

Napoleon's death mask

Wait...

:holdit:

Yep, Mario was in London this week with his lady friend and her lady friend and we decided to hold the first international Orange Belt meet at the British museum.

It was pretty fun all round, everyone was a cool dude, felt absurdly British without even trying to be, and saw some cool old shit. I am now basically obligated to visit America at some point.

I'm kind of ambivalent about this. I just finished a humanities course in my schooling that was entirely more of a combination of history and art through history than I entirely care for and that first picture looks like it could have come straight from that damn textbook.

On the other hand, it's pretty awesome to see and I was like "Whoa" when I saw you and Mario in the same picture.

Yes. This. This must happen again. Glad you guys had a blast. Museums are my favorite thing.

So glad I got to meet up with Bruce! The British Museum is pretty amazing, I really need to get back there again someday. It's a little strange when you realize that the entire facility is basically a testament to the UK's various conquests over the centuries, but it's still worth visiting.

The rest of my London trip was pretty great too, but with significantly less Bruce. Check it!

That's quite a high res top picture you got there. And 2 and 3 are broken for me.

Relinked at lower-res. Flickr seems to be having some embed issues at the moment, but you can click through to see any broken images.

They appear to have fixed themselves. I'm not sure you had to relink a lower res one if you didn't want. I was just making obvious observations.

Seems like a sweet museum and... wait, is that platform 9 & 3/4? Awesome!
