Who watched the 24 finale?

Didn't it just rock! The ending was just such a big surprise, definitely the last thing I expected. And the way Jack slipped the recording device in Logan's stuff was cool.

Just saw it last night (thanks to iTunes' delayed episode releases, grumble grumble), and I agree on the rockitude. Don't know how Jack's gonna get himself out of a super-secret Chinese prison though, especially since no one knows who took him. Gotta wonder how the Chinese found out Jack was alive. Maybe that was Logan's last act as President. Bastard.

Well he did say he would take care of Jack...

But that'd make a cool season 6, him trying to get out of china, as opposed to the whole saving america all the time. But they'd need to show CTUs efforts too, otherwise it'd suck.

Except there's almost no one left at CTU to care about. Chloe and Bill Buchanan are the only good guys left in that place (then again, neither one uses a Mac, so I'll continue to be suspicious about them for the time being).

No one uses macs in the higher organizations! Its all Dell flat panel LCD's.

*has never seen an episode of 24*

Yeah, that's how it is now. However, in at least the first two seasons of 24, you could tell who was good and who was bad by whether they were using a Mac or not, and that goes for the secret bad guys posing as good guys as well. Some would say that distinction has disappeared by now since they're all using Dells, but it just makes me all the more suspicious of people who aren't Jack Bauer (who was still using a G5 tower the last time he was working for CTU in season 3; I can forgive his lack of Macs since he hasn't held a steady job for some time). The only Mac I saw this season was an iMac G5 belonging to the late David Palmer.

    Uh... spoiler alert.

What's this show about now? Some sort of cop drama?

I wonder if they would have the gall to kill off Jack Bauer. Maybe just make Chloe the main character? She has more screen time then Jack nowadays anyway.

Actually, Mario, Alberta green used a pc in Series 1, yet wasn't a bad guy.

And they do use linux, which is better than windows at least.

No, seriously, what's this show about, I don't know. Is it a cop drama or what?

It's about a government agency called CTU (Counter Terrorist Unit) that has to deal with all sorts of terrorist threats against the country. It's called "24" because each season of the show plays out in real-time. Like, episodes are an hour long, and an hour in real life equates to an hour within the show. During transitions to other scenes, a ticking clock will appear on the screen to show you the current time within the story. Twenty-four episodes means each season is exactly one day long.

But within the context of terrorist attacks, the show is primarily about Jack Bauer, a special agent who pretty much gets the worst of it each season, as the initial strike has often been a prelude to a much bigger attack, and the terrorists often have some kind of personal vendetta against either Jack or the President, and desire to settle the score. Jack's lost a lot of good friends at CTU over the years. Luckily for us, he's a hardcore bad-ass and kills like 50 guys at the drop of a hat.

    Watch it!

The first episode can be found on the burger king my space site. Watch it. Although admittedly, it doesn't have as much oompf as the other opening episodes, which all end with a kickass scene.
