Spyro7000's Thread Regarding Topical Conversation On The Zelda Comic Forum

edited July 2006 in Zelda Comic
Geeze, Mario. Staying on topic is pretty hard, because conversations can open up new conversations, just by saying something. We can't just praise your comic and ignore what somebody said, er... typed. Nobody comments on MY comic anymore, and I only complained once. Now YOU have to learn to go with the flow. You never stop complaining until we say something about your comic or the characters. But if it makes you happy, I wonder what Link was doing all this time.

If you want to start discussing a new topic, you create a new thread. Seems pretty simple to me. You're entitled to voice complaints in your thread if you want it to also go back on-topic, but as you said, you didn't keep it up.

I never said anyone had to praise my comic. If you don't want to talk about this comic, you stop posting in the thread. I'm trying to make sure that newcomers to the thread can easily discern what's going on without getting confused by some topic derailment three pages back. I don't think this is an unreasonable desire. I'd much rather a finished topic fade into the background than be maintained needlessly.

It IS a finished topic. All there is to say about your comic was said, or we wouldn't have strayed away from the topic.

Then you stop posting! I don't know which part of this very simple rule isn't getting through to you. As moderator of Zelda Comic, I've decided that I prefer my threads to stay on-topic. If you make your own thread, it's up to your own discretion how you want your conversations to go.

I'd just like to interject with the following:

    Bull. You complain constantly.

Now, this is very simple. mario says to stop posting in his topic if you're not going to discuss the comic. So you DON'T POST IN THE TOPIC. See all my posts in that topic about the sarcasm/smilies crap? ... You can't find them? That's right, because there are none. I had nothing to say about the comic, so I posted nothing. It's not hard at all. Now please stop wasting mario's time with this issue. Nothing you say is going to change his mind, and I'm sure he has better things to do than argue with you. In fact, I do too. I've got my own comic thread to update now.

Sneaky advertising there. "I've got my own comic thread to update".
  • edited July 2006
Huh? I was just using it as an example of something better to do than argue with spyro. It's not like I linked it and was like "hint hint ;) ."

Still, if it's too advertisement-sounding for everyone, I can remove it.

No, I was just kidding. I'm sorry, I'm making the off-topicness discussion thread go off-topic.

Actually, Spyro7000 started this conversation within the Episode 281 thread, of all places, so I moved it out to a new thread in a last-ditch attempt to keep that thread on the right track. Hopefully it'll do the trick, but considering his apparent disdain for smooth-flowing conversation, it's hard to say.

It's not my thread at all.

So is he banned, or is that just him attempting to be funny with his custom title?
  • edited July 2006
    He was banned.

    :O

So is this the first time since those two real young kids, kobe54 and that other one?

    1st podcast ftw!

About friggin' time. Actually, I still can't believe how patient you are sometimes, Mario. It's a good thing I don't have mod powers, these kids wouldn't last a day.

And there was much rejoicing, for the annoyance known as spyro had finally been cast away by the gods of The Orange Belt. Many inferior fruits were sacrificed to honor the gods for their wonderful deeds.

But seriously, I gotta agree with Behemoth. I would've tossed him out within his first week if it was my forum. But he's finally gone now, hurrah. :)

Although putting 'Banned' as your title would be a fairly funny idea.
  • edited July 2006
Eh, it's been done before. By really annoying people.
  • edited July 2006
I wasn't here long enough to legitimately not like him, but from what I saw, yay. Anyways, My title is sliced bread. Why? because sliced bread is random and I couldn't think of anything else.

Now we can say, "That's the best thing since Ryoga!".
  • edited July 2006
I had some Ryoga and ham for breakfast this morning.

    Haha, that's fun.
  • edited July 2006
I like Ryoga with peanut butter!

My favorite sandwhich is toasted Ryoga with peanutbutter and bacon.

And it'd be pretty obvious that the person isn't banned, which either:
    1. Ruins the illusion for the intelligent people.
    2. Gets all the stupid people to tell the admins that they didn't ban this guy right.

And there's nothing better than a side of garlic Ryoga with a nice spaghetti dinner.
  • edited July 2006
But what do we call toast now? Toasty Ryoga?
  • edited July 2006
Well, Spyro is gone, *Ding dong the witch....wait...dragon is dead, the wicked dragon is dead!* that sounds slightly off...

Anyways, you call it 'Toast' or 'Toasted Ryoga'

Just make sure you don't confuse me and Ryoga, I want to keep all my limbs in tact.

    Mikau'd!

    Oh, wait, sorry.
  • edited July 2006
    Where is Mikau?
  • edited July 2006
He popped up in the new users thread awhile ago, but I haven't seen him since.

I'm gonna come over here and rant now as to perserve the original topic as best I can (posting a rant and then going back on topic at the end of the post still leaves the off topic right there for people to keep talking about).

Ok, I offically give up on this comic. So I'll go out with a bang. Mario is a topic nazi, spyro is a fucking faggot. Mario never fucking updates. FUCK SHIT CUNT BITCH TIT PISS ASS NIGGER GOOK SPIC CHINK

    Fuck you, I'm out.

Wow, this would totally make sense if you were a friend of spyro's and were pissed at him being banned, but you pretty much made an ass out of yourself for no reason. But I'm getting really sick of people giving mario crap about his desire to stay on topic. That's all he asks from you! He doesn't beg for votes, he doesn't ask for donations, he doesn't put up google advertisements and ask you to click them so he can get a dollar... He makes this comic that entertains us and all he wants from you is to stay the fuck on topic! Is that really so damned hard?! No, but for some reason you feel you have to argue with him on it every step of the way until you finally get banned. Grah!!

    ... *sigh* I feel better now. :)

Well he wanted to go out on a bang, and now he has.
