SCIENCE! Movie: "The Evil Dead"
We fell behind! Please don't send us to some cabin in the middle of the woods then play a tape from some scientist studying the Book of the Dead who recties an ancient incantation that brings an equally ancient evil to the cabin in the form of a POV monster that feels a girl up with tree branches!
Having only seen Army of Darkness in the past, I didn't quite know what to expect from the first film in the series. Probably about the first two-thirds felt like completely standard horror movie fare (beyond the forest rape scene, I suppose). I was just about to wonder how in the world this movie could possibly be connected to what I had seen and loved, when things got all crazy! Bruce Campbell, who had played a fairly level-headed God-fearing sort of guy up until then, had a complete character change, and suddenly wasn't all that torn up about chopping up his old friends. I'm now convinced that Sam Raimi changed his mind at this point in the movie as to how movies should be made, and that all subsequent Raimi flicks played out likewise (even Spider-Man, a little). I'm now gonna have to hunt down Evil Dead 2 to see the full range of Ash-y goodness.
So yeah, standard horror, wonderful insanity!

They're actually planning a re-make currently, although nothing is mapped out fully. And there's a movie about a small town getting attacked by monsters while Bruce Campbell, who is starring as himself, is in it. and they come to him to get rid of the monsters.
Anyways, I do suggest number two. It's not like watching a regular re-make with new design and looks, it adds on to the story, and changes it, so it'll be awesome. It also leads into "Army Of Darkness" I believe
Where do you go when you are the final survivor of a horror movie and you want to live a semi-normal life?
oh, wait.
Step one: Cut up all the bodies into manageable chunks and dispose of the bones.
Step two: Sell the meat fraudulently as hobo-baby to delis and such.
Step three: Take large sack of cash and live a life of luxury on some sort of island paradise.
