Halloween!!

edited July 18 in Events
Christmas and New Years' may be fun, but my favorite holiday is Halloween. I love coming up with and making costumes, and this year I'm dressing as Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange. The only problem I've run across is the stuff he has on his eyelashes. What is it/where can I get something like it?

I should have some pictures to post in a few days. Until then, things you can do in this thread:

-Share costume ideas/pics
-Share Halloween stories
-Share you candy
-Rock out

Oh, also, I am not wearing the codpiece. That's too weird, even for me.

Hey, all you need for the eyelashes is a fake eyelash kit. They typically have these in the cosmetic section of your local Walgreens or Wal-Mart. Also, Halloween stores have them. You'll probably end up trimming the lashes to match your own eye-- the ones they sell must be for Bambi, they're huge. If you want the eyelashes to stay on through a whole night, try to get a set that requires a tube of adhesive, rather than a self-adhesive set.

I'm sort-of stumped for Halloween this year, honestly. I used to really like making costumes. If only we all still played Gunbound, I'd go as The Big Fiasco.

Once I'm done with the mushroom head, I'll have a fairly decent Toad costume, although I will be on the tall side.

I wanted to do V for Vendetta, but I've been so busy I didn't have a chance to order a mask and now it won't ship in time.

I will be Ryu from Street Fighter...

I was considering being Steve irwin, complete with Papier Mâchè sting ray, but that seemed really bastardish at the moment, so I'm going as Guybrush Threepwood!

I'm gonna go as a guy with no socks. I suck at costumes.

I'm gonna...go as me. between work and school, I'm busy nonstop from 6am to 10pm. Not that I've dressed up in years.

I'm going as a monkey from the Bad Touch video

from the Bloodhound Gang. I don't especially love them, BUT my cousin won the costume they used in the video like three or four years ago, so I thought I might as well use it.
The bad part is that it's hot and itchy as hell. (Yeah I guess Hell must be itchy).

I'm going to be Link. Is it legal to carry a real sword around?

Probably depends on the state or country and the sharpness.

I believe any blade over 1 foot is illegal in the US but that's pretty much a complete guess.

I'm also a bit curious, where do you intend to get a real sword :\

They were selling them at a dollar store near my grandma's house. Of course, they were in the 'over a dollar' section.

A real metal sword that is slicey and stuff?

Right-o. Some crazy foreign lady was running the place. I could barely understand a word she said.

I got a paper plate that looks like a bear so I cut out the eyes and put some string through it.

I AM A BEAR... I HAVE... BEAR POWERS!

Um...it's not hard to buy swords. They can be had online, and offline too. A Renaissance Festival will generally have some shops around distributing them. They are not sharpened, but they are swords.

I didn't do anything Halloween-y today. But I did paint my room a lovely 'Zesty Lime' according to the Glidden master palette of colors with funny names.

Mostly, the only people who knew who I was were ten year olds. Although, I did have people who I haven't talked to in over two years stop in to see it.

I ended up going trick-or-treating with some of my friends. I went as a Nudist on Strike. I got extra candy from so many houses for the costume! Twas funny because all of my other friends dressed up hardcore and I showed up with a sweatshirt and a sign and had the best costume. :)
