Comic #29: Halloweentastic Part II (10/29/06)

edited October 2006 in Penny Racers Comics
Costume Info:
Pichu as A Black Cat: Old-fashioned, boring, and a bit girly. But at least it's better than...
Eevee as Nothing in Particular: She didn't have any good ideas. But it will play a part in part IV, which at this rate will occur around November 5th.
Mauice as Mookie Wilson: I always thought he'd look good in a baseball outfit. Mets or no Mets, you can't not like a guy named Mookie. I mean, c'mon. Mookie. Well, unless you're a Red Sox fan, but THAT WAS ALL BUCKNER.
Skippy as Quail Man: I don't think I need to say anything.

Not my best, but whatever. This was originally gonna be two separate comics. The Quail Man theme has been stuck in my head ALL WEEK...

EDIT: Oh yeah, I cross-posted all my non-comics stuff (sketches and things like that) onto DeviantArt, just in case somebody wanted to comment on those. Is it just me, or is DeviantArt, like, the slowest site ever?

That was very 8-bit theater-esk. I loved finding hosues with the bowl outside with a "take one" sign. I should try trick-or-treating this year.

Eevee may not actually be anything but she looks pretty kickass. And I've seen quite a few people dressed up as Quailman these past few halloweens. Maybe it has to do with the underwear...

Whenever I find someone who left the bowl out, it only ever has two or three left. And despite the fact that I'm a Sox fan, Mookie is a pretty awesome name.

EDIT:I just noticed the last panel says Just ust.

Nice to see that Pichu's plan is working. :)

The typo has been fixed. Just ust is served!

Actually-I HATE THOSE HOUSES LIKE THE DEVIL. Because you're like, "Oh joy, I'm gonna fricken ROB this place of candy!" So you go up, you start dumping the bowl into your treat pumkin-bag-thingy, and...OUT POPS A GUY DRESSED AS THE SCARIEST THING YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE!!!!!111one. You shit your pants, drop all of your candy, and run screaming. That's how candy scamming really works-scam the scammers!

    EDIT: Signature quotes, anyone?

One of my cousin's neighbors always dresses up as a scarecrow and sits in a chair in his front yard. He really just looks like a prop. It's so fun to watch him freak out the littel kids.

I'm suprised nobody pointed out that I forgot to make bags for the candy. Thanks a lot, guys. Fixed now. Sorta. We'll just say Skippy's and Eevee's are out of view.

Sorry about that, but in response to your earlier question, I too find Deviant Art to be extremely slow.

    But he was voted off!
  • edited October 2006
    I consider that non-canonical!
  • edited October 2006
I was thinking about it... but now I can't because you mentioned it!

Besides, he was voted off. That's pretty serious.

    Democracy.

Could you fit in an Espeon for some generation variety? Or are you sticking to all (well, mostly-Pichu being an exception) Red and Bule generation pokemon?
  • edited October 2006
I wanna see someone dressed up like a pokemon (a diff. type of course).

Aw, come on man, that would be like me dressing as a black guy.
    That's just not politically correct.
