YOU CAN'T HELP BUT BE INVOLVED, ALL CAPS DAY JUST SUCKS YOU IN.

IT IS A GLORIOUS DAY INDEED.

YOU GUYS ARE BREAKING THE RULES! THERE MUST BE AS MANY CAPS AS YOU CAN POSSIBLY HAVE!
  • edited November 2007
THE RULE IS TO TYPE IN UPPERCASE. THERE'S NO REQUIREMENT TO RETYPE LOWERCASED THINGS.

I'M HOPING YOU ARE ALL TRYING TO ALL-CAPS YOUR WAY THROUGH OTHR AREAS OF YOUR LIFE. HERE'S A LITTLE TESTAMENT TO MY DEDICATION! THE LOWERCASE PORTIONS WERE TYPED ON PREVIOUS DAYS, AND I EDITED OUT SENSITIVE INFORMATION, BUT THIS IS AN ACTUAL WORK ORDER FROM MY PLACE OF BUSINESS WITH ALL-CAPS TECHNICIAN NOTES. CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT THE CUSTOMER THINKS.

WE DID SURPRISINGLY LITTLE WRITING AT SCHOOL, ASIDE FROM A STATE MANDATED TRIMESTER EXAM FOR CIVICS. I DECIDED THAT, WHILE IT DIDN'T FEEL RIGHT, I SHOULD WRITE WITHOUT ALL CAPS FOR IT.

IT'S PC-2700 SO-DIMM RAM. RAM, UNLIKE MOST OTHER COMPUTER COMPONENTS, ACTUALLY GETS MORE EXPENSIVE WITH AGE BECAUSE COMPUTERS STOP SUPPORTING IT IN FAVOR OF HIGHER SPEEDS AND NEWER CONFIGURATIONS. A RELATIVELY NARROW RANGE OF MAC LAPTOPS USED PC-2700 SO-DIMMS. MOST MACS NOW USE PC2-5300 SO-DIMM RAM (AND I THINK THEY MIGHT BE MOVING TO PC2-6400 SOON), AND WE SELL 1 GB OF THOSE FOR ABOUT $100, I THINK. PC-133 SO-DIMMS COST $150 FOR JUST 512 MB. IT'S RIDICULOUS, BUT WE HAVE TO CHARGE BASED ON WHAT WE HAVE TO PAY FOR THEM, AND THEY AIN'T CHEAP.

    YAY FOR CHEAPER PC HARDWARE.

SOMETIMES, ALTHOUGH I DON'T EVEN HAVE THE MONEY TO UPGRADE CURRENTLY.

MY VIDEO CARD IS PRETTY GOOD FOR WHAT I PAID FOR IT.

I CAN REMEMBER WHEN THE GOING RATE FOR RAM WAS $50 PER MEGABYTE. I HAD 4MB AT THE TIME, BUT ALL THE BEST GAMES NEEDED 8.

I WAIT FOR SALES AT COMPUTER AND OFFICE SUPPLY STORES. THAT'S HOW I WAS ABLE TO GET MY 1GB DDR RAM CARD FOR $60. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN HALF THAT IF I HAD A DDR2 BOARD. IT'S CRAZY I TELLS YA. BEFORE I BOUGHT THAT GIG, I JUST HAD A SINGLE 256. MY COMPUTER WAS SLOOOOOOOOOOOWWW. I LITERALLY COULDN'T RUN AIM6.0 AND FIREFOX AT THE SAME TIME.

*sniffle* only 364 days till the next all caps day. *sigh*
  • edited November 2007
I'm not entirely sure that's true. It's the second Wednesday of November, not November 14th of every year. Someone with more spare time can count the days if they like.
  • edited November 2007
    363. it'll be the 12th.
