Comics #33-36: The Unprecedented Quadruple Update. (11/30/06)

edited December 2006 in Penny Racers Comics
Okay, my goal for the day was six, but I figure four's enough.

In addition, I continued the revamp project by updating comics 3, 4, and 5. I was forced to so I wouldn't be contradicting myself in one of these comics.
#3 New|Old
Those people look like people now! And that table looks like a table now!
#4 New|Old
Not a whole lot to change in this one.
#5 New|Old
A lot of changes in this one. Changed the script to follow along with the new comic, and substituted newer character designs.

But..but, the Bus stop dance was the best part. Oh well, I like that last one the best. Very nice.

Eh, I never liked the Bus Stop dance. The song is way too obscure. I've only ever heard it on DDR Disney Mix. I have the file on my computer if you'd like to hear it.

I'd forgotten Pichu had fur! I'm lovin' this multi-updateness! Oh no...McDonalds has captivated me with their mind-numbing advertising...

Green bus interiors? I've yet to see such a thing, only brown and grey.
  • edited December 2006
I've seen green, it really is quite hideous.
  • edited December 2006
Think "public restroom green" and you'll be on the right track.

    NO!!! BUS STOP GONE!!!
  • edited December 2006
Yeah..all my school buses are green-interiored.
It's probably a New York thing.
  • edited December 2006
I've seen green the most commonly, I've seen brown in some newer busses, and I might have seen gray at some point. Naturally they are always the most hideous shade of whatever color they are that they can be.

So after Google Image Searching both "Hlavco" and "Penny Racers", it would seem that the old Bus Stop comic is the second most popular one on there. Naturally, the Penny Racers search gave up a whole lot more results because they're quite the popular toys over in Japan, apparently. I've got a few of them myself, but these American versions aren't as good. They're not even modeled after real cars. For anyone who's curious, the top comic was the Internet Shorthand PSA.

As were mine. I think our school had maybe two black ones, but most were green. Not pretty.

I like the last comic the best. Now who's ridin' spinnaz? Not you Squirtle! :p

Totally did some site redecoratin'. Well, all I did was add a background, based off of the Halloween desktop poses. But I think it looks fancier than the plain black background of two days ago. I also made a corresponding yet purpler desktop to go with it, so that you can be afraid of the cast even when offline! Except Maurice, I don't think he'd kill anyone.

In a couple days I'll probably have to make a new site background, though. Something Christmas-y. And then change back to this one later on.

It doesn't want to load for me right now. :(

Like I've said before, my site is on the world's official most unreliable server and goes down practically every hour.

Here's some college-type sketches, and you'll be able to see them because I got smart and linked to DeviantArt instead of my own website!

By the way, you know that thing that artists do? You know, with the circles and crap before they start drawing? Yeah, that one. I was messing with that today a little. While it hasn't led to any visual improvement, I do wind up messing up a lot less. Which is good, because oftentimes my papers wind up all covered in crossed-off bad drawings. It also makes actiony poses like the jumping Eevee above a lot easier. Plus I can draw more than one character in a group because I don't really have to worry about messing up just one and ruining the whole thing. This is also evidenced by the Pichu standing next to Eevee picture above. The eraser marks are there, though, because for a while this system had the unfortunate side effect of making one of Eevee's ears too big for some reason.

You could transfer to the OB hosting, that way, if your site's down no one can complain about it because the forums, along with the rest of our sites will be down too!

Maybe DA has hotlinking protection, because I don't see anything there either.

You may be right. It shows up even more randomly than my normal ones. I changed its location to my older host, so it should stay put now.

Also, I colored in a few:

Wow, you do draw a lot of cars.

I'd have to agree with Hamelin about getting OB hosting, too. The offer is a pretty sweet deal for only $4 a month.

    Is that a ferret?
  • edited December 2006
    No, it's a weasel.

Though I'm not really sure what the difference is.
  • edited December 2006
Not much, they're both of the Mustela genus.

If you ever do draw a ferret, you could use quitsy as your source for it.

And Quitsy is the official Orange Belt mascot!
  • godgod
    edited December 2006
I always thought it would be a belt made of oranges.
  • edited December 2006
hmm... I thought of it as a belt with a orange round buckle...

Stickman, I beleive we haven't meet. I'm Agentcel! If you want a better introduction, go to the general discussion board ander the introductory thread.

Darth Cookie... Y'know, that sounds familiar for some reason.

I am led to believe that Stickman is none other than our beloved Spyro7000. His profile link leads to the comic OMG Stickmen, which Spyro recently announced over at Inksandwich.
  • godgod
    edited December 2006
I beleive he also has the same location as Spyro did.
  • edited December 2006
He's like the devil! He keeps reincarnating!

Does pichu's website happen to link to the comic website? ^v^
