Horrible tragedy!

Something horrible has happened to me!

My Twilight Princess file was saved over!

Being the only one around this part of campus with a Wii, a lot of people have been coming over to play various games. One of my friends has been playing Zelda for a while. He inadvertently saved over the first file slot, as any hardcore gamer has a natural habit of doing.

So, 40 hours of my life and the reason I didn't get shit for homework done over Thanksgiving break has been erased. I was at the end of the game too.

I'm very sad.

Something that horrible, I would wish upon only a select few. At least you can probably remember how to do a lot of it, and get back to where you were in less than 40 hours.

I recall the time I had a my 7th saga game for the snes blank out on me and lose all the saved data. I had put similarly large quantities of hours into that game (probably more actually when considering the loss of ALL the saves). But, I started over and now have an uber character saved at the end of the game at the max level and all that.

Ouch. Very sorry to hear that, man. If you have one of those SD cards, keep your saves on there when you let others play.

I've got one, but I can't figure out how to transfer data onto my SD card. When I go to data management, I just have the option of deleting information off of the Wii hard drive. I've used the photo channel before, so I know the card works.

I just went to the data management > save data > wii. Then select the game you want and it should come up with the information and two buttons: one to copy, one to erase. I have the copy button and I don't even have an SD card yet.

I go to data management > wii. I don't have a save data button or menu to go through. Inside the Wii area, I can see my game data, but I can only erase it. What am I doing wrong?

I have no idea. I doubt this could be it, but did you get all the updates for the Wii hardware yet? Other than that, I don't know...
