Pretty awesome. I want to walk on a dilatant!

I saw them do that on Brainiac, only with a pool of custard. What I want is one of those super fluids.

Those dilatants sure are mighty awesome indeed. It's almost like you're Jesus!

The auxetic material is cool too.

Diet Coke + Mentos + Dry Ice = Sweeeet

I didn't watch the video, but the description of an Auxetic material sounds awesome. I'd play with it forever.

Yeah, the auxetic material video takes forever to load. I eventually gave up. But imagine the fun you could have with that.

"Hey man, could you pull this apart for me?"

    "Sure! ... What the hell?"

    XD

Bolton University? That's about 10 minutes away from me, maybe I should go steal some of that stuff.

The proper name for a Dilatant is a non-newtonian liquid, as it is just a sort of NNL.
  • edited January 2007
Yeah, but there are other nnl's that aren't diletants. Blood, for example, is a NNL, but you can't walk on a pool of blood.
  • edited January 2007
That sounds like a challenge to me.
  • edited January 2007
I wouldn't want to walk on a pool of blood even if I could.

I think I'd be asking too many pesky questions like "So... where'd you get all the blood?"
