I remember several years ago, when reality TV was just beginning to plague society, SNL or some other comedy show did a sketch about a ridiculous show where they trade spouses. It was pretty funny, we all thought that this was a really fucking stupid idea.
And then this happened.
Edit: Where on earth did they find the Snorlax in this vid?
Edit edit: These people only have to do this for one week? Their psyche is so weak that they freak the fuck out like this after just a few days?
Edit edit edit: The original husband of the Snorlax is a broken man. I feel so sorry for him.
Edit^4: I got through 2. I'm not sure if I can go all the way through 5.
I'm fairly certain that the show producers purposely track down the most maladjusted people they can find, and then further encourage them to be dramatic so they can attract more viewers.
I actually can't watch people be crazy. I CANNOT make myself watch that video. I do not enjoy watching people behave like that. Doing so is a chore.
Since I can't stand watching being stupid and embarrassing, there is a significant portion of television shows that I can't watch. Anything that could be called "reality tv" pretty much falls under this category.
I can have it on as background noise (i.e. playing games at the same time), as I don't have to wholly pay attention to it. But I can't sit and focus all my attention on it.
Edit again: God this is painful. I've made it through 8/10. I'll make myself finish it, but goddamn.
LAST EDIT I PROMISE GUYS: Ok, I'm glad I watched it to the end. Snorlax's breakdown and rage at her own family was fucking awesome. Watching her family get sad and cry in embarrassment was just, wow. And the message at the very end by the producer was the icing on the cake. My only question is, what did the dad say during the rant that got bleeped out? I couldn't figure that out.
He said some expletive then his wife's name. So like, "fucking Margaret" or "dammit Margaret", but that wouldn't be bleeped. So, I'm thinking it was fuck.
That's what I thought too, but the Youtube comments section, always the bastion of truth, said they thought it was 'fucking warrior' or something. Either way, you could see the contempt for his wife in his broken face.

Also, I've been living in Asia for the last few years, I don't know what the kids are beeping and bopping to these days.

"I don't want psychology, I don't want anything dark-sided"
EDIT: But this is really good also:
God help her.
Ian McKellen does dramatic interpretations of TV show theme songs. Hells yes.
If you don't watch this, you will regret it for the rest of your life.
