Meat!
I have completed my family's annual "ground hogs day" once more! Our freezers now contain varying portions of pork. Though the quantity of pork has been dwindling over the years as my uncles are all dieting and not eating so much pork and my cousins are moving away from home leaving the households to be smaller. Still, we produce significant portions of sausage. You cannot buy good sausage in a store. Homemade stuff is the only way to go. Just don't ask what's in liver sausage, because I have intentionally blanked the ingredients of that particular type of sausage from my memory.
So does anyone else around here partake in the meat-making practices? Can store-bought sausage actually be good? Is there something decidedly unhealthy about eating pork? Is this even worth making a thread about? I leave you to decide!

I always picture a prancing happy deer frolicking around the forest when I'm eating it.
I had maple sausage one time. It was pretty bad.
Liver sausage is good, the pork kind.
Blood jelly and fried brains are yumyum.
if they could type
Furthermore, I've heard that liver sausage of the pork kind is good many times, but it's harder to eat it when you know what it is. And blood sausage just make me shiver to even think of it. I don't like blood.
It's a trick. Get an axe.
I tried ostrich jerky over the weekend, it tasted like salami, but I didn't really like it.
