A Fun Little Trick to SCIENCE! Up Your Backyard!

edited July 18 in For SCIENCE
I learned a neat trick for you guys from my science teacher. First, it's gotta be cold...about 0-30 degrees. Then, there has to be snow on the ground for it to work the best. All set? Here we go!

1. Get an insolated cup, any coffe mug will work.
2. Start running water.
3. Turn the knob all the way to the hot side.
4. Fill up the cup with hot water.
5. Put the cup in the microwave with a paper towel on it.
6. Warm it for 2:00.
7. Carefully take out the cup, it'll be pretty hot. Might want an oven mit.
8. Quickly , open the door to outside.
9. With extreme speed, swing your arm as hard as possible, so the water goes out.
10. The water will immediately turn into snow mid-air!

I spent all afternoon doing this. Try it!

It is interesting, but we already have plenty of snow.
