OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG.

Remember how psyched you were when Kingdom Hearts was announced? Ok, take that, and add the excitement of a new Mario game, and I believe the sum is a dorkgasm of epic proportions. In my latest issue of EGM, they have a little arcticle on a newly confirmed game for the Wii, which will combine Square, Disney, and the Mario Universe into one undoubtedly epic game. Unfortunatly, it's not coming out until 2008.

EDIT: God damnit, never mind, it's their April Fools Joke for the year.

    At least this year the April Fools joke actually fooled me for a bit.

    Seems a little early for the April issue, doesn't it? April Fool's Day jokes work better for websites, since they can do it on the proper day.

    That would be an awesome game if it existed, and if Square didn't have anything to do with it, and it didn't have any Final Fantasy stuff in it!

    Yeah, I was pretty suspicious because the promo artwork just didn't seem right to me. I still think it's an ultra-cool concept, though.

    Especially with JC's revisions. I like Kingdom Hearts well enough, but the Final Fantasy parts are completely unnecessary. I'll bet a lot more people say "Hey, it's Alice!" than "Hey, it's Yuffie!".

    Oh, right, I forgot: no Disney stuff either. Basically it should just be a regular Mario game. Kingdom Hearts is execrable.

    Or, they could have Nintendo stars from various games, and have them all fight in one big brawl! And they could have stages for each character! Plus, they could throw in Pit, and oh...I dunno...Solid Snake? That'd be a great game.

    I'm not sure if some of the Nintendo characters would fit into a story driven game like that. I mean, Mario doesn't really have a personality, he's just the hero, that's it.

    A game like that would still probably be freakin awesome though.

    Mario RPG is to Nintendo, much the same thing as Kingdom hearts is to Disney is it not?

    EDIT: So THAT'S where that name came from. I should really play that game. I actually borrowed it from a friend who hadn't played it in like, forever, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet. I really don't feel any inclination to do so either.
