Yar!

Just because I can't be having an empty forum.

Pull up a chair. Have a drink and make with the small talk about video games and/or SCIENCE!

Hmm. How 'bout that Super Smash Bros? Oh wait, that was the first SCIENCE! thread on the OLD Orange Belt.

    Video games...

I'm currently playing Star Ocean: Till the End of Time.
  • edited January 2006
That's a long time to be playing just one game.
  • edited January 2006
I just started that game, too... someone gave me it for Christmas.

I'm also playing Soul Calibur III, and when I have time, Shadow of Colossus' time attack mode.

I haven't been play many video games lately, but I do have some SCIENCE! talk.

A girl in one of my classes yesterday claimed that carbon dating is faith based, that it only works because all the scientists agree that it works. Kinda like paper money. When I pointed out to her that things like rate of decay and algebra are scientificlly proven, she claimed that there was scientific evidence that God exists. Then the teacher ended that conversation.

I've been playing Castle of Elite, I'm only 5 levels away from beating it completely.

The game is damn hard in those Elite levels.

I just finished up Indigo Prophecy.

Definitely a unique game experience. (some bad moments, and some very very good moments)

I've been playing WoW and Rome:Total War lately. When I get time that is. Being a junior in highschool and all.
  • edited January 2006
When I was a junior in high school I had all sorts of spare time. Now that I'm a senior, I've got even more.:D

I've been playing one awesome game, you should all play. It's called GUNBOUND.
  • edited January 2006
We should totally get back into Gunbound.
  • edited January 2006
I'm behind it. For whatever that's worth.

I wouldn't mind meeting the design team of "We <3 Katamari", so I could collectively slap their faces. Collecting 1,000,000 red roses will take years.
  • edited January 2006
You'd slap them with greetings and love, right? I won't tolerate abuse of the We <3 Katamari team.
  • edited January 2006
I remember reading about some college students that set up some rig to play for them to collect 1,000,000 roses. Sadly, I am too tired and lazy to go find it again.
  • edited January 2006
I'd hug them first, and then scold them for the sheer volume of roses one needs to collect. Then I'd ask if I could meet The King Of All Cosmos, he's a cool guy.

I've been playing WoW, and the Mega Man X collection. I beat X3 while I was waiting for WoW to realise that I was talking to someone.

(nah, it didnt take that long, but I really hate going to IF on a 56k modem)

Ooh, I still need to pick up We <3 Katamari.

I've been meaning to pick up the PSP version Boku no Watashi no Katamari Damacy, but I'm not sure about using the regular buttons to move around instead. I've heard it's not a problem, though.

So are you a girl or a boy? I need to know just how creepy I need to act towards you.
  • edited January 2006
    Me? I'm a guy.

Do I sound femine, or was the question directed at someone else?
  • edited January 2006
Well you can never be to sure on internet forums. Specially if someone uses a non-gender specific name.

    Like, for example, me.
  • edited January 2006
    Or me!

EDIT: It has occured to me that my sn on these forums is actually deku12345 instead of deku_dude. I can never keep track of these things!

I've been playing Rockman 4: Redsun and I finally beat it on the hardest setting(third time through). Know what my reward was? I get to play a 4th time. WOOHOO!

Since we're on about video games, Hamelin and I discovered the best game ever. This of course means that the game is terrible and is pretty good for a confused laugh. It's called Super Noah's Ark 3D. Think Noah meets wolfenstein.
You can get it here: http://www.coolrom.com/roms/snes/2430/Super_Noah's_Ark_3D.php

Wait, Mega Man 4 had a subtitle?
  • edited January 2006
Sorry, Gameboy Advance. MegaMan NT or Netbattler or some-such in the English relases. Since you can trade with frinds and collect slightly different battle chips, they ahve a fun little habit of releasing two of each game now. 4 has Red sun and Blue moon.
  • edited January 2006
Ah. I thought it was the original series, since you were fighting communists in the fourth one (although it turned out to have been Wily all along, which at that point was still mildly surprising.)
  • edited January 2006
    Megaman Battle Network.

Aren't they up to number five now?
  • edited January 2006
6, and of course, two versions; a green one with a lizard-megaman thing and a red one with megaman as a bird. There's also a whole Zero series for the advance. I can't keep up.
  • edited January 2006
The Zero series had four games, with the fourth ending in such a way that it'll be fairly difficult to make a fifth, not that that'll ever stop Capcom.
