This one was very boring to make, because there was hardly any pose-changing. Ah well, they can't all be exciting and whatnot.

I love Pichu's pose in the last panel.

    But needs more meowth.

I like how he looks over in the last panel, like he's blaming it on Eevee.

    That's prime dungeon real estate.

It makes me wonder about who the previous residents were.

    The Adams Family?
  • edited March 2007
Probably not. The Addams family is much more likely.

i was never did like that show...probably due to that i cant spell it right

ALSO: how many parts of Laundry day are there?

I'm shootin' for around 14, give or take. Though from this point on, they will have very little to do with laundry. The name will stick around for continuity purposes. However, comic #50 will not be interrupted as #30 was with the Halloween series.
So this is the start of a fairly long story. I'm shooting for about ten comics, maybe more, maybe less. It actually has little to do with laundry. Or Pokemon for that matter, except Eevee and Pichu. Um... yeah. It may get weird.

Think "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" and you'll be on the right track. Bear with me here, I have some decent jokes planned out.

Your only chance is during the mail episode.

Then let the mail Gods be on my side.

I'd be careful, requests for Pokemon cameos have, in the past, ended in tragedy. Let meowth serve as a lesson for you!

Your vector art never fails to impress!

    Featuring heavy-handed Christian allegory?

It's some Typhlosions! Though the two on the right have incorrect fur patterns, I kinda prefer the darker look. They look a bit too much like Quilava when they're on all fours like that, but the Pokedex says that's how they get around, so what-ev.

    Draw a ferret mayhaps?

It could be an antagonist in the plot line!

Have-a some more Pokemon! They scanned in bad. I tried making them darker in Photoshop, but it still doesn't look too great.

Also, Charizards and Typhlosions are both 5'8". I'm taller than a Charizard!

    Then again, if Charizard = 5'8"... Ash = ?

    What, three feet?
  • edited March 2007
Maybe his charizard was stunted by crappy training.
  • edited March 2007
No, I'm saying that Ash's Charizard is about double his size, which makes Ash quite short.

Everything is smaller in Japan. Litterally, tall American people have their own word there. They are called "Gaijins." If someone like me, who's 6'3", walks into a crowd of Japanese people, I'll tower over all of their heads and be able to spot another Gaijin from miles away. Plus, everyone stares at you, so. Yeah. Anything that's exceptionally tall in Japan is about 6 feet. Just look at say, like, the over explanatory profiles of some Japanese characters. They average about 5'5"-5'6". Then you see a big muscly guy who looks as though he's a god among men, he towers over everyone else, and has the strength of 40 oxen, he's 6' tall.

"Gaijin" means "foreigner", not "tall person". So any American could be called a gaijin regardless of height. I also seem to recall the term carrying a somewhat derogatory connotation.

Also, isn't Ash like 10 years old? I wouldn't be surprised that he's a little short. 3' is a bit crazy though. We could assume that he has an extra-large Charizard though, since the PokéDex heights are probably an average for the species, not a set height for all Charizards. His Charizard did prove to be somewhat overpowered in the show.

There was an episode of the show where Ash's Charizard came upon some other Charizards in some valley or something where Charizards went to train, and they were quite a bit larger than it was (and gave it quite a whooping).

    But how about this picture?:

    Machoke = 4'11"

The show has made worse flubs than that. I saw one where one of the Officer Jennys called her Growlithe an Arcanine. Granted, that was probably a mistake on the part of the translators, but the show is so cheaply produced that I wouldn't be surprised if the writers and animators didn't do much fact-checking. I mean, Pikachu once was able to electrocute Brock's Onyx after being "super-charged"! We all know that's just ridiculous, as Onyx is part Ground-type and therefore immune to Electric-type attacks, no matter how powerful.

...I, uh, don't watch the show... anymore.

Or how about "Rhydon's horn conducts electricity!"

    Or Bulbasaur using Whirlwind?

I just saw a comercial for the 10th season of pokemon. So, I guess the show is 10 years old already (in America, at least). I remember when they had the first few issues/episodes in Nintendo Power and then on TV in the morning. Even I watched it before going to school, when it first came out.

Also, Gaikokujin is the correct word for foreigner. Gaijin can be considered derogatory, but I don't know anyone who was ever offended by it. And yeah 6'3" is a very bad height to be in Japan. I had a head-ache all year.

Also, pikachu is 1'4". Based on the picture, I would say Ash is 3 1/2 or 4 times taller than pikachu. This means he's something between 4'7" and 5'4". That contradicts his size compared to charizard, though.
