Comic #43: Part IV (5/2/07)

edited June 2007 in Penny Racers Comics
This story line's trudging along slower than molasses! At least the spelunking part is over. (Parallels FTW)

First off, I don't know if leaky paint can cause hallucinations, and I'm sure Eevee doesn't, either. She's no Smokemon, if you know what I mean.

The look of the surroundings is likely to change drastically from comic to comic, because it's meant to be pretty random. Since I finally got Photoshop, randomness can be as easy as applying some weird filters. And I like easy things.

Hopefully the funny will be better in the coming comics. I wouldn't have taken the story this far if I didn't have anything planned, after all.

Also, here's a Ninjask. Because somebody asked me to draw a Ninjask.

PS: Pichu's ear is messed up in the last panel, and I don't care.

Ninjask came out great! So did the comic!

I wanna turn in one o' them coupons for a drawing of my choice now: could you draw me a depiction of a Nincada evolution? I'm talking the separation into Ninjask and Shedinja. Shedinja is one of my favorite quirky Pokémon in the series.

I wonder if they're high on laundry detergant? Also, nice job finally getting going.

Check it out! It's that Pichu picture from a few weeks ago, but with all the fillings removed!

I wasn't gonna post that here, but last night I dreamed that I did, so I figured I'd do it here too. Then somebody responded with a fairly scathing post which, while admitting that the drawing looked cool, complained about me not updating the comic often enough and went on to say that they were gonna stop reading it.

    Forget you, dream-jerk!

And then somebody else, whose name I remember as "Querrell" for some reason, posted something about finding a balance between art quality and update time, or something like that.

And then I found a bunch of cats and raised them as my own. Then some guy came and told me that I had to get rid of one cat in particular because the other cats were going to attack it, and the only reason my real-life cat was getting along with it so well was because of her name, or something.

I don't know where I'm going with this, though I'm a bit distressed by the fact that I was dreaming about posting on a forum.

    Bye.

Some notebook doodles. Did'em when I should've been taking notes, hence the title that has nothing to do with the drawings.

    Very tasteful Luigi photo.

Nintendo characters and a weasle with a sword have everything to do with light and color.

Who's that snappy looking dresser below Yoshi and to the left of Mario's head?
  • edited May 2007
That's a pre-emptive sketch of a character Rightclickscott wanted me to draw.

Also, that's a squirrel holding the sword. The weasel prefers to go unarmed. Yeah, the two look pretty similar besides the tail. I've been in a sort of slump as far as the weasel's been concerned.

Could you draw him a little Albino ferret friend?

Also, I was bored, so I tried colouring in the Luigi picture. Some bits are a bit rough (Damn boots and eyes) due to me using a trackpad to do it (That's hardcore), but I think it came out OK. Hope you like it.

I almost kinda thought about updating today, but I changed my mind and cleaned up a picture I drew several months ago.

Reminds me of the Redwall series.

Is that what I think and hope it is, Hlavco?

    I... don't know? It's a squirrel with a sword.

You know, this one totally reminded me of Silent Hill 4. crawling through the hole in the laundry room... "eep!" is all I have to say to that. If that laundry machine starts bleeding... I'm gonna... uh... run away.

This is the first time we've gone an entire month without a new comic. Let's not do it again, okay?

    Let's instead go for 2!

    Now you're sounding like mario.

Hey! I totally updated after way less than two months.
  • edited June 2007
And Hlavco hasn't yet attained Mario's level of panache and moxie!

    Don't give up yet, Hlavco!
