More importantly, we don't have any PCs in the house.
I'm not the only one!
Woohoo!!
(Well, neither does paul, so more like, we're not the only 2! woohoo!)
(Wait... neither does Stef... so, we're not the only 3 woohoo!)
More importantly, we don't have any PCs in the house. Them's some good papercraft! Hopefully they'll make other mobiles soon.
If you have a gamer card at all, this would be where you turn it in. Same with the rest of you.
Also, the paper craft was neat. I really ought to play gunbound in the first place sometime, but I'd just get distracted and end up playing scorched earth again or maybe liero.
I didn't realize running a copy of Microsoft Windows was a requisite for being a gamer. I think my ownership of an Atari 2600, NES, SNES, GameCube, Wii, PS1, PS2, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance (original and SP) and DS more than qualify me for gamer status. I happen to not actually like most PC games. Because they're stupid. Yeah, I went there.
Boot Camp is great, if you own an Intel Mac. Too bad you still have to install Windows. Once CrossOver Mac supports Gunbound, I'll be in a much bigger hurry to upgrade to an Intel model.
Seeing as how not even Cedega supports Gunbound yet, I wouldn't hold your breath on Crossover (which was never really geared toward gaming anyway) supporting it any time soon, unfortunately. Really, I've had no luck at all getting any games to run under emulation* in Linux, and I doubt things would be any easier in that regard on a Mac (seeing as how Crossover Mac is a port of a Linux program in the first place.)
* Yes, I know, Wine Is Not an Emulator, but you know what I mean.
I'm not holding my breath for Gunbound specifically, but I do know that just about every Windows emulation/virtualization solution out there is working toward supporting DirectX and Direct3D, which are required to get Gunbound (and a slew of other Windows games) working outside of a Windows beige box. As far as I can tell, that's the only major roadblock, and if there's one thing the hacking community loves, it's roadblocks.
Some of this off topic has given me thoughts to make a new thread elswhere later on...
I think I downloaded what should be a pattern for that dragon at home, but I was tired last night and didn't get around to looking at it. (I suppose a 14 hour day at work will do that ) I think I'll mess with that yet, though years of failed attempts to make paper airplanes has taught me that I really suck at the fine arts of folding paper.

That would defeat the purpose of missing it.

Of course, if Softnyx would just get off their lazy asses and make a Mac version (they could even get some help with HLSL2GLSL!), this wouldn't be an issue. Alas.
This has nothing at all to do with papercraft! JC, I apologize for the thread derailment.
