So first they injury proof playgrounds... (whatever happened to tan bark splinters and scabs from jumping off the highest part of the playground? And that metal that picked up enough heat to give you burns on those hot summer days?) And now they make MMO's safe? Man, I remember when we used to play MMO's without having to wear a helmet, let alone elbow, knee, and wrist pads. Hell, I even played drunk a couple times. But seriously, the scars I picked from falling out of my chair while playing MMO's bring back some of my fondest memories. Stupid MAUMMOGZ. (Pronounced "Mow-mogs." Mothers Against Unsafe Massive Multiplayer Online GameZ)
But seriously though, isn't the definition of a virtual experience much safer than actually doing it? So does that mean actually playing with legos is too dangerous? I'm reminded of Futurama - "Skeeball... Virtual Skeeball... Virtual Virtual Skeeball... [Amy]: 'It's like I'm actually playing virtual skeeball!'"
(And yes, I realize they probably mean a Chi-Mo free environment and all, but I would rather poke fun at their wording than interpret things the way they were intended.)
Anyone else play blockworld before? I think thats what it was called...It was an online first person lego game. Kinda fun. Especially the mod that let you have guns. Then you could build forts and have lego wars on your computer!
